Mickey Mouse and Bluey just made every kid’s dream come true in a brand-new short called “Mickey + Bluey,” streaming now on Disney+ and Disney Jr. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto crash into the Heeler backyard and end up right in the middle of a game of Musical Statues with Bluey, Bingo, Mum, and Dad. Mickey Meets the Heelers, and It’s Exactly as Good as You’d Hope
If you’ve ever watched Bluey with your kids and thought “this feels like it could slot right into a Disney universe,” you’re not wrong. Bluey has quietly become one of the most beloved shows on the planet, the kind of series parents enjoy just as much as their children. And Mickey Mouse? He’s been making families happy for nearly 100 years. Putting them together feels obvious in hindsight, but seeing it actually happen is genuinely delightful.
The whole Clubhouse crew shows up for this one. Watching Goofy try to hold still for Musical Statues while Bluey runs circles around everyone is the kind of chaos that writes itself. This short has the warmth and playful energy that fans of both shows are going to love.
Catch Up on the Whole Mickey+ Series
Mickey + Bluey is the third short in the Mickey+ series, and the whole collection is worth watching back to back. It all started with Mickey + Stitch, where Mickey and Minnie taught Stitch the Hot Dog Dance. Then came Mickey + Spidey, a team-up with Spidey and His Amazing Friends that featured a whole new original dance called “Do the Spidey,” complete with a new song from Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump. Now the gang heads to the Heeler backyard for a round of Musical Statues.
All three shorts are available now on Disney+, so if your little ones haven’t seen the Stitch or Spidey ones yet, this is a great excuse to make a morning of it.
A Big Year for Bluey
And the timing could not be better. Today is opening day for Bluey’s Best Day Ever at Disneyland, bringing Bluey and Bingo to the park for the first time. If you are heading to Disneyland today or have a trip coming up, everything you need to know is right there at that link.
On the Walt Disney World side, Bluey and Bingo will also be meeting guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom starting May 26 as part of Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station. Kids can play games straight from the show and explore animals native to Australia at Jumping Junction.
