Disney Parks Just Dropped the Full Toy Story 5 Activation Plan and There’s a Lot to Unpack

Disney Parks has published a comprehensive look at everything Toy Story coming to parks worldwide in 2026, and the scope is bigger than most fans expected. With Toy Story 5 arriving in theaters on June 19, 2026 and the latest trailer now out, Disney has confirmed specific dates, new experiences, and limited-time additions spanning every Disney park destination on the planet. Back in February, Fantasy Land News was among the first to report that Toy Story 5 activations were coming to Disney Parks this year, and now we have the full picture. On top of that, merchandise is already available, and a new collectible sipper just landed in the parks.

The Trailer Is Out — Here’s What Toy Story 5 Is About? The Toy Story 5 trailer is now out and gives the clearest look yet at what the film is. Directed by Andrew Stanton and co-directed by Kenna Harris, the film puts Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of the gang up against a new kind of threat when kids in their world become obsessed with electronics. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are back as Woody and Buzz, with Greta Lee voicing a new antagonist named Lilypad, a frog-shaped smart tablet that disrupts the way kids play, and Conan O’Brien voicing a character called Smarty Pants. Disney is leaning into the “Toy Meets Tech” premise both on screen and across its parks, where the new experiences are designed to feel like extensions of that story. Toy Story 5 opens only in theaters on June 19, 2026.

Two Specific Dates Fans Should Know Right Now. Two major additions have confirmed launch dates and both are coming soon. At Magic Kingdom, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin gets its long-awaited updates starting April 8. The Tomorrowland staple will feature a new show scene, updated ride vehicles, and gameplay enhancements — the most significant changes the attraction has seen in years.

At Disneyland Paris, Toy Story Garden opens at Disney Adventure World on March 29, 2026. The new area will greet guests with statues of Woody and Jessie surrounded by trees trimmed into toy-inspired shapes, leading into the existing Toy Story Playland.

Merchandise is already here, including a New Sipper. The Toy Story merchandise rollout is not a future event. It is happening now. The Little Green Men Jetpack Sipper is already available at both coasts. At Walt Disney World, it is priced at $19.79 and available at Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land via mobile order. At Disneyland, it runs $29.79 at Alien Pizza Planet in Disneyland Park and Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta in Disney California Adventure. The sipper features a light-up alien in a jetpack with three light modes, a detachable strap with pizza and alien imagery, and a straw that sticks out of the top of the character’s head. Walt Disney World Resort

Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios remains the anchor of the franchise at Walt Disney World, with Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania, Alien Swirling Saucers, Woody’s Lunch Box, and Roundup Rodeo BBQ all in place. At Magic Kingdom, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin gets its updates on April 8, and Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ Revue opens at the Diamond Horseshoe for the summer — a limited-time show featuring songs, dancing, games, and character appearances with Woody, Jessie, and friends. Table service dining at Diamond Horseshoe ends May 16, ahead of that conversion. At EPCOT, Buzz, Woody, Lotso, and Bo Peep topiaries are on display through the Flower and Garden Festival. Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort features Toy Story theming throughout.

Disneyland Resort

Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney California Adventure is scheduled to close April 6 for refurbishment with no confirmed reopening date — a notable gap heading into summer as Toy Story 5 approaches theaters in June. Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters in Disneyland Park also closes April 13. On the food and collectibles side, the Little Green Men Jetpack Sipper is available now at $29.79. The rest of the Toy Story lineup includes Jessie’s Critter Carousel and Games of Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure, plus dining at Alien Pizza Planet, Poultry Palace, Señor Buzz Churros, and Lamplight Lounge.

Disneyland Paris

Toy Story Garden opens March 29 at Disney Adventure World, adding Woody and Jessie statues and toy-shaped topiaries leading into Toy Story Playland. The existing Worlds of Pixar area includes RC Racer, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin, and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop. The “TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure” show features Woody, Buzz, and friends with an original song. At Disneyland Park, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast and “Disney Stars on Parade” both include Toy Story. Disney Hotel Cheyenne offers Woody- and Jessie-themed rooms and select character appearances.

Hong Kong Disneyland

Toy Story Land at Hong Kong Disneyland is a self-contained destination with RC Racer, Toy Soldier Parachute Drop, and Slinky Dog Spin all on-site, plus Jessie’s Snack Roundup for Lotso waffle sandwiches, Slinky pizza, and traffic cone sundaes. Andy’s Toy Box handles merchandise, and the Barrel of Fun area provides character photo opportunities with the Green Army Soldiers.

Shanghai Disney Resort

Shanghai has both a full Disney Pixar Toy Story Land — with Rex’s Racer, Woody’s Roundup, Slinky Dog Spin, and Lotso Lunch Box — and the only Toy Story-themed Disney hotel. The Toy Story Hotel sits a short walk from Shanghai Disneyland and features the Launch Pad water play area, The Play Room activity center, Sunnyside Café, and Lotso Shop. The Buzz Lightyear Planet Rescue attraction rounds out a lineup that gives Shanghai arguably the deepest Toy Story footprint of any resort in the world.

Tokyo Disney Resort

Tokyo has Toy Story Mania at Tokyo DisneySea and the 11-story Toy Story Hotel, the first moderate-class resort at the destination. The hotel includes the Lotso Garden Cafe, Toy Friends Square, and Slinky Dog Park. Tokyo Disneyland is also getting the biggest dedicated film celebration of any park globally: “Fun Time with Toy Story 5” runs July 2 through September 14, 2026.

Disney Cruise Line

The newest ship, Disney Adventure, features Toy Story Place at the center of its upper decks — a full splash area with Woody and Jessie’s Wild Slides, the Flying Saucer Splash Zone, the Toy Story Splash Pad, and the Sunnyside Family Pool. Pizza Planet is on board for dining. Andy’s Room and Andy’s Toy Box are available in the Oceaneer Club on the Dream, Fantasy, Wonder, and Magic. Pixar Day at Sea returns in 2027 on select five-night Disney Fantasy sailings from Port Canaveral.

Jessie’s Roundup at Magic Kingdom is one of the signature offerings of Disney’s Cool Kids’ Summer 2026, which runs May 26 through September 8 at Walt Disney World.
