Universal Orlando Kicks Off Mardi Gras This Weekend. Mardi Gras starts this Saturday, February 7, at Universal Studios Florida. The event, called “International Flavors of Carnaval,” runs every day through April 4. It’s included with your regular park ticket. Catch the fun with beats and beads when you secure your spot in the parade with the Mardi Gras Float Ride and Dine Experience. Or explore other packages, including hotel and ticket offers that’ll make your visit even more exhilarating.

What’s New This Year

The park is introducing a new character named Prince Gator. He’s the son of the famous King Gator float and will be hanging out for photos near the Horror Make-Up Show.

There’s also a new Tribute Store in the Hollywood section. It’s themed after “Baron Tonton’s Roadhouse” and sells neon-themed gear and beignet-themed souvenirs. This immersive shopping experience is always an event highlight. Take your seasonal celebration to the next level with themed apparel, accessories, and more at the can’t-miss Mardi Gras Tribute Store.
