Bluey Jumps Off the Screen and into Your Living Room with New Interactive Game!

Nex and BBC Studios are teaming up to create a new motion-controlled game inspired by the show Bluey. The game will debut in October on the Nex Playground and will get families active with mini-games based on popular episodes. This sounds like a great solution for the challenge of getting kids off their phones and keeping them active, especially with the Bluey collaboration coming to the Nex Playground. We have one question, though: Can I dance with Bandit?

It’s time to get off the couch and get moving with everyone’s favorite Blue Heeler! In a morning press release, Nex, the company behind the active play system Nex Playground, announced a new partnership with BBC Studios to develop a motion-powered game based on the hit animated series Bluey.

The announcement comes on the heels of the news from Disney Studios that a new Bluey movie is set to release on August 6, 2027. Now, fans won’t have to wait that long to interact with the lovable Heeler family.

The new game, set to launch in October, will bring Bluey’s world to life, inviting players to jump, dance, and play alongside Bluey, Bingo, and their parents. It’s designed for kids ages four and up, but to brings the whole family together for active fun. The experience will be exclusively available on Nex Playground, a system designed to transform screen time into active playtime through hands-free, motion-controlled games.

“We’re bringing the beloved world of Bluey off the screen and into the living room, transforming favorite moments from the show into an active, shared experience,” said David Lee, co-founder and CEO of Nex. The game will feature cooperative and competitive mini-games inspired by iconic episodes like “Musical Statues,” “Keepy Uppy,” and “Asparagus.”

Marina Mello, Global Director of Gaming & Interactive at BBC Studios, added, “Nex’s unique technology allows fans of all ages to quite literally ‘jump’ into the fun together. The mini-games are not only inspired by fan-favorite episodes, but they are purpose-built for shared play and unforgettable moments.”

The Bluey game will be available to all Nex Playground subscribers with a Play Pass. An official title and more details are expected closer to the October launch.
