Test Track Presented by General Motors Opening July 22 -Previews Announced, Website Updated. Disney Parks and Walt Disney Imagineering have made it official: Test Track will reopen to guests on July 22nd, 2025. The reopening coincides with the opening of the new nighttime parade at the Magic Kingdom, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, which opens July 20th, 2025. Special previews for cast members, Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, Golden Oak residents, and Club 33 Members. Finally, the official Test Track website has been updated.
Disney World’s Test Track ride has been closed for nearly a year now. What is now being called Version 2.0 closed in June of 2025 for a total attraction refurbishment and retheming to Version 3.0. Which will bring back memories of World of Motion. While Test Track has always celebrated new and future automotive technology, it’s also a reminder of what a road trip is all about: spending quality time in the company of friends and family while embracing the beauty of the world around you.
The Test Track walls have been removed and replaced with shrubs. Lights and signage have been installed at the entrance to Test Track. Queues and stanchions have also been fully installed. Furthermore, Test Track Simporium has changed its name to Test Track Gear Shop. Now the wait begins for the announcement of “When will Test Track reopen?” When will human testing start at the very least? Have Cast Members been invited to test the refurbished attraction?
