Savannah Bananas -vs- Disneyland 70th: A Win For the Guests Visiting the Parks. The Savannah Bananas, dubbed “The Greatest Show in Sports,” made a one-day appearance at Disneyland Resort, blending their unique brand of baseball entertainment with Disney Parks. The team, known for its updated rules and fan engagement, participated in several park activities, and will be bringing their signature “Banana Ball” energy to Anaheim Stadium on May 30th vs the Firefighters. That game will air on ESPN.
In a quintessential Bananas move, the team performed a special dance to “Hey Baby” in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, decked out in their signature yellow.
Plus, Banana players, including second baseman Jackson Olson, rode popular attractions like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Olson described the drop on Tiana’s as “absolutely electric.”
“This is the perfect collab for The Bananas. When you’re at Disney, you can be whoever you want. It’s a place that (as corny as this sounds) can unlock the magic for you. And we’re so excited to help bring that magic to Anaheim!” Savannah Bananas Second Baseman and Greatest Showman, Jackson Olson
To cap off their visit, Bananas players danced down Main Street, U.S.A., in a special cavalcade.
The Firefighters, a new rival team also in town for games, met with the Disneyland Fire Department, including Hank, a long-standing Disney employee.
