Monstropolis has a new painted sign, and it says “Try Our Cans.” We saw the big yellow letters on the brick wall of the future Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Friday, October 23, 2026. “Try Our” is stacked on the left side, and “Cans” runs across the rest of the wall in giant letters. The sign is still being painted, and nobody knows yet what the cans are. Catch up on the land in our latest Monstropolis construction update.
It is painted to look like an old ad on the side of a brick building, with yellow block letters and a dark shadow on each one. Look closely and you can still see the painters’ red guide lines, so more coats are likely on the way. This will be Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, named for the Monsters University mascot. It has blue and bronze scalloped shingles, cream trim cut like rows of fangs and a wooden water tower on the roof. A “Public Restrooms” sign is already painted on the green beam below the wall.
So what are the cans? Disney has not said. Here are our three best guesses.
- Scream cans. In Monsters, Inc., screams from kids get stored in yellow canisters, and those cans power all of Monstropolis. The letters on the wall are even yellow.
- Something to drink. Disney already revealed Frozen Blort for Archie’s menu. Maybe there is a canned drink coming, too.
- Just a joke. It could be a fake old ad for a business that only exists in Monstropolis, the kind of gag Imagineers hide all over a land.
We are going with scream cans. Monstropolis runs on them, so an ad for them on the side of a pizza place is exactly the kind of joke Monsters, Inc. would make. Whatever they are, we want to try them. Archie’s and the Glob Theater show open in 2027. See how the coaster is coming along in our first coaster track update
