A brand-new Bluey Christmas balloon will debut at the 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 26, 2026. BBC Studios and Macy’s announced the balloon today, October 5. It shows Bluey wearing her Christmas crown from the fan-favorite episode “Christmas Swim.”
The design comes from the barbecue scene in “Christmas Swim,” where the Heelers spend an Aussie Christmas by the pool, pulling crackers and wearing their crowns. Bluey’s holiday episodes have become a tradition of their own, and last year we covered the Verandah Santa Christmas EP. Everything else happening with the Heelers is in our Bluey guide.
Ludo Studio, the company that makes the show, designed the pose, and the artists at Macy’s Parade Studio built the balloon. It measures 47 feet long, 27.8 feet wide and 47.2 feet tall. That is a little smaller than the first Bluey balloon, which debuted in 2022 at 51 feet long, 37 feet wide and 52 feet tall.
Bluey has been part of the parade every year since. From 2023 through 2025, her red Keepy Uppy balloon came along for a giant game of Keepy Uppy through the streets of New York. In 2024, Grannies Rita and Gladys showed up in their Grannies Car. The announcement does not say whether the new balloon replaces the 2022 design, or whether the Keepy Uppy balloon and the Grannies will be back.
Melanie Zanetti and Dave McCormack, the voices of Chilli and Bandit, will be in New York for the parade.
“We are thrilled to welcome her back for our 100th Parade as she once again takes flight above New York City, continuing a cherished Thanksgiving tradition,” said Jordan Dabby, producer of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Suzy Raia, EVP of Global Consumer Products at BBC Studios, said the company is “honored to celebrate the Parade’s 100th anniversary in New York City with a festive new Bluey balloon.”
Bluey will share the sky with another new balloon FLN readers know. Disney’s Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey balloon also debuts at the 100th parade, which Macy’s says will have a record 100 inflatable elements. For a look back, here is what Disney brought to the 99th parade.
For families, the plan is easy. Watch “Christmas Swim” on Disney+ before Thanksgiving, then let the kids look for the crown on parade morning. A summer Christmas by the pool floating over a cold November morning in Manhattan is a very Bluey kind of joke. There is more on the way too, with The Bluey Movie set for August 6, 2027.
The 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade airs Thursday, November 26 on NBC, Peacock and Telemundo starting at 8:30 a.m. in all time zones.
