Disney has confirmed new details about Horizons: A Carousel of Progress, the Saturday night Honda Center showcase closing out one of the biggest days of D23 2026, and this one is aimed squarely at the projects fans have been watching move from concept art to construction walls.

Horizons: A Carousel of Progress streams live on Disney+ starting at 7 p.m. PT on Saturday, August 15, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. It’s the headliner event of D23 2026’s second day at the Honda Center, and Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum is set to appear alongside a lineup of Imagineers. Anyone not attending in person can watch the whole thing from home through Disney+.

Horizons A Carousel of Progress What to Expect at D23 2026s Saturday Showcase

Rather than a single big reveal presentation, Horizons is built around a series of conversations. Bruce Vaughn, President and Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Imagineering, is confirmed to appear, along with Ali Rubinstein and a group of creative leaders spanning Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Disney Cruise Line. Expect project updates, first looks at new artwork and renderings, behind-the-scenes stories from the people actually building these experiences, plus live performances woven throughout the night.

The comparison Disney itself is drawing is to D23 2024, when Disney Experiences unveiled a wave of new lands, attractions, ships, and destinations that existed mostly as concepts on a screen. Two years later, many of those same projects have moved into active design and construction. That timing lines up with what Fantasy Land News has been tracking on the ground, including ongoing construction updates on projects like Piston Peak National Park and the new Tropical Americas carousel at Animal Kingdom. Whether either gets specific stage time on Saturday hasn’t been confirmed, but Horizons is exactly the kind of showcase built to deliver that sort of progress update.

The format itself is the story here. Instead of one host running down a list of announcements, Horizons is structured as intimate conversations between Neil Patrick Harris and the Imagineers themselves, even with thousands of fans filling the Honda Center. That framing suggests Saturday night is less about a handful of splashy new reveals and more about a genuine look at how Disney’s next chapter is actually getting built.

Fantasy Land News will be live at the Honda Center for Horizons: A Carousel of Progress, with real-time updates as the night unfolds. For more D23 2026 coverage, visit our D23 2026 Complete Guide or browse all D23 news
