Hallmark Channel just turned 25, and the network kicked off the celebration with a sold-out event in New York City earlier this week. To treat fans, Hallmark shared a wave of news about what’s coming for the rest of the year, including premiere dates for several Countdown to Christmas movies and a first look at two new Halloween movies. Leading the announcements, the premiere date for Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True was confirmed for Thanksgiving weekend. The movie, starring Lacey Chabert and Travis Van Winkle, debuts November 28 on Hallmark Channel.
A Grand Biltmore Christmas will premiere December 5, timed to coincide with Weekend 2 of the Hallmark Christmas Experience, where stars Holland Roden and Niall Matter are set to appear. The movie also stars Andie MacDowell and Jonathan Frakes, who is reprising his role from the original film.
Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story kicks off Countdown to Christmas on October 17. Lyndsy Fonseca and Robert Buckley lead the cast of the football-themed romance.
Beyond the confirmed dates, more casting news is being reported. Tamera Mowry-Housley and Kristoffer Polaha are said to be teaming up for the first time in a movie tentatively titled Mistletoe and Mimosas, with Mowry-Housley also serving as executive producer and Russell Hainline writing the script. Jonathan Bennett and Italia Ricci are also reported to be pairing up for a movie about two perennially single friends dodging their families’ matchmaking efforts.
On the Halloween side, Hallmark confirmed two new movies for October, first teased on the network’s Instagram. A Knight to Remember, based on the Bryn Donovan book Her Knight at the Museum, premieres October 3, and The Spirit of Halloween follows on October 10.
As previously reported from the 25th anniversary show at 92NY, Alison Sweeney and Ashley Williams are teaming up again for a new Christmas movie. Williams shared the news on Instagram, saying she and Sweeney are returning with all new characters and a completely different story than their previous pairing, and calling the new movie everything fans loved about their Barcelona movies with a holiday twist.
