Harry Potter 25th Anniversary Popcorn Buckets Coming to AMC & Other Theaters in August

Harry Potter 25th Anniversary Popcorn Buckets Coming to AMC & Other Theaters in August

July 24, 2026

Written by Greg Gately

AMC revealed four Harry Potter 25th Anniversary popcorn buckets at San Diego Comic-Con on July 23, including the Hogwarts Express Popcorn Bucket, the AMC-exclusive Nimbus Broom Popcorn Bucket, the Hogsmeade House Popcorn Bucket, and the Gryffindor Drink Cup, and confirmed US pricing has now landed for several pieces in the wider collection. The Nimbus Broom bucket is large in scale, closer to the oversized He-Man sword bucket AMC sold earlier this summer than a standard concession item, and it unscrews in the middle of the bristles so the bottom half becomes the actual popcorn holder. Now, Swan Drive-In opened sales for a large chunk of the collection on July 28, giving fans and collectors their first real look at US pricing ahead of the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone 25th-anniversary rerelease, running August 27 through September 3 at AMC, Regal, Cinemark, and theatres around the world.

If you order from Swan Drive-in, which I would before they sell out, the shipping prices run around $12.99 to $14.99. One thing we have found recently is they charge extra for large item shipping. The Nimbus Broom popcorn bucket was an extra $12.99 for large shipping, and the Hogwarts Express Popcorn Bucket was an extra $9.99. This means that those two items will be priced higher if purchased in theaters like AMC. So the Nimbus Broom, for example, will be $79.99 at major theaters.

Swan Drive-In, a Georgia theater that regularly stocks nationwide mail-order versions of upcoming theater exclusives before the major chains confirm their own lineups, has the Hogwarts Express Popcorn Bucket, the Nimbus Broom Popcorn Bucket, house-themed buckets and cups for all four Hogwarts houses, tumblers, plushes, and blankets available now through its online shop. Sauerbeck Family Drive-In has separately listed the Harry Potter Silhouette Popcorn Bucket for $24. Neither retailer is AMC, so these are early looks at pricing and design rather than confirmation of what AMC itself will charge when its Comic-Con exclusives go on sale. “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” (titled “Philosopher’s Stone” in some markets) will return to theaters worldwide for one week from Aug. 27 through Sept. 3. The screening will include 12 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage not previously shown in theaters. All eight Harry Potter films will be available in theaters during this period. Tickets go on sale July 31.

These buckets are part of a larger 25th anniversary push for the franchise. All eight Harry Potter films are set to return to AMC, Regal, and Cinemark screens from August 27 through September 3, with tickets going on sale July 31. Gaylord Texan Resort is also adding a Harry Potter ICE! experience this holiday season, the first time that annual attraction has been built around the Wizarding World. A new Harry Potter TV series is set to premiere December 25 on HBO Max, giving the franchise a packed back half of 2026 well beyond the theater lobby.

Fantasy Land News will update this article with confirmed AMC pricing, sizing, and an official on-sale date as soon as they’re announced. For the latest on this lineup and every other theater collectible, follow Fantasy Land News.
