Disney Lorcana Challenge Championship Qualifier Announced for D23 2026

Disney Lorcana Challenge Championship Qualifier Announced for D23 2026

June 13, 2026

Written by Greg Gately

Illumineers, clear your August calendar. A Disney Lorcana Challenge Championship Qualifier is coming to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event at the Anaheim Convention Center, giving competitive players the chance to earn promo cards and a coveted invitation to the North America Championship for the next season of Disney Lorcana Challenge.
D23 is already shaping up to be the biggest Disney fan event in years — you can track every announcement and event at the FLN D23 2026 Complete Guide, and this news makes it even more essential for anyone who plays the game. This is not a side demo or a casual open play session. This is an official CCQ, meaning it carries real stakes: promo prizes and a direct path to the championship level of competitive Lorcana.

Disney Lorcana Challenge Championship Qualifier Announced for D23 2026

A CCQ, or Challenge Championship Qualifier, is an official tournament within the Disney Lorcana Challenge program. These are sanctioned competitive events run by Ravensburger that award promo cards and send top performers to championship-level play. Earning an invitation out of a CCQ is one of the most meaningful things a competitive Illumineer can do in a given season.

Tournament Dates and Schedule

The Disney Lorcana D23 CCQ spans two days. Day 1 runs Saturday, August 15 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. PT. Day 2 runs Sunday, August 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT. The tournament is capped at 128 players, which means this field will fill fast once tickets open.

Tickets, Pricing, and How to Get In

Tournament entry tickets go on sale June 29, 2026, at $75 per player. There is one critical requirement before you even think about buying a ticket: you must hold a valid full-day D23 event badge for both Saturday and Sunday. The CCQ entry ticket is a separate purchase on top of your D23 badge and is not included with general D23 admission.

Tickets will be sold through Ravensburger via an Eventbrite link that goes live June 29. Ravensburger is hosting and administering this event independently — D23 Worldwide is not a sponsor of or responsible for the tournament.
With 128 spots and what will almost certainly be enormous demand from the Lorcana community, being ready on June 29 matters. Set a reminder now.
Competitors are playing for Disney Lorcana promo cards and an invitation to the North America Championship for the next season of Disney Lorcana Challenge. That invitation is the big one. A CCQ invitation puts you on the path that only a small number of players in the country will earn, and earning it at D23 would be a story you would tell forever.

Ravensburger has been accelerating on all fronts in 2026. FLN recently covered the limited Rapunzel High Climber Playmat dropping via EQL fair-access sale — the kind of collector release that signals just how seriously the company is taking its community. Bringing a CCQ into D23 itself is another level. This is competitive Lorcana on the floor of the biggest Disney fan convention on earth. The energy in that room is going to be something else.

For anyone still on the fence about getting into the game, D23 2026 just became a genuine reason to learn.

Our Take

This is a really smart move by Ravensburger. D23 is already a place where Disney fans go to feel completely absorbed in something they love, and inserting a high-stakes Lorcana tournament into that environment is exactly the kind of thing that grows a game. The 128-player cap is going to create genuine urgency on June 29. If you play Lorcana at any level and you are planning to attend D23, this should be at the top of your to-do list the moment tickets open. And if you were not planning to attend D23 yet, well — now you have another reason to look at those badges.
