The bucket is part of Disney Celebrates America, Disney’s sweeping once-in-a-lifetime initiative honoring the nation’s semiquincentennial. The celebration runs from Veterans Day 2025 through Independence Day weekend 2026, shining a spotlight on the people, places, and moments that make the nation special. The food and collectibles arriving at Disneyland this summer are the park’s contribution to that moment — and Sam Eagle is front and center.
The Sam Eagle Bucket captures the beloved Muppet character in full Uncle Sam mode: stern expression, star-spangled top hat, and a podium base that feels purpose-built for a character who has always taken patriotism extremely seriously. For those who remember the Walt Disney World side of things, the design carries the same energy as the Sam Eagle Sipper that debuted at EPCOT’s Regal Eagle Smokehouse back in 2023.

The Disney Celebrates America lineup also includes a Patriotic Mickey Caramel Apple — a Mickey-shaped apple dipped in red with a blue candy coating and white sprinkle stars — available at candy locations throughout the resort. Smokejumpers Grill is debuting the Red, White and Blue Punch, a layered red and blue drink finished with whipped cream. And Willie’s Churros will be serving an Apple Pie Churro loaded with apple filling, cream, and a caramel drizzle.
Our Take: A Sam Eagle popcorn bucket for America’s 250th anniversary is honestly perfect casting. He’s the Muppets’ self-appointed guardian of American dignity, and putting him at the top of a popcorn bucket for a once-in-250-years celebration feels exactly right. The podium base is a genuinely great detail — it’s the kind of thing you keep on a shelf long after the popcorn is gone. Grab it before it’s gone.
