Disney, magna studios, and Sony Music Vision announced today that a landmark Oasis documentary film will open in select IMAX theaters and cinemas worldwide on September 11, 2026, before streaming exclusively on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu in the U.S. later this year. The film is currently untitled.

The documentary charts the Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour, capturing the full scope of one of the most anticipated rock comebacks of all time. Created by BAFTA and Oscar-nominated writer and producer Steven Knight, the man behind Peaky Blinders, and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, the film features rehearsal footage, backstage and onstage access, and the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam Gallagher in more than 25 years. That last detail alone makes this required viewing for any Oasis fan.
The film does not just follow the band. It follows the fans whose lives the music has shaped across generations, and it frames the reunion as something larger than a tour — a cultural moment that cut through a divided world with the particular force that only Oasis songs seem able to manage. Knight put it plainly in a statement today, saying he wanted to tell the story of how music and songwriting can unite generations, cultures, and countries and in a time of division give people some reason to hope.
Cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos, whose credits include Belfast and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, leads the technical team alongside Oscar-winning sound mixers James Mather and Tarn Willers. The film is a magna studios production presented by Sony Music Vision in association with Sony Music Entertainment UK.
Further details including cinema listings will be announced soon. September 11 is the date to mark. Stay with Fantasy Land News for all Disney+ and entertainment coverage
