Fantasy Land News was invited to the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets First Listen Experience at House of Blues in Disney Springs on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, where we got an early preview of the new music, story details, and attraction updates coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 26th, 2026. Here is everything we heard, saw, and felt.

The First Listen Experience at House of Blues
When we walked into the House of Blues in Disney Springs, the transformation was immediate. Disney had filled the space with props and backdrops themed to each member of The Electric Mayhem, with a dedicated listening station for each character and instrument. Invited guests moved through at their own pace during their assigned time slot, pressing play as many times as they wanted. It was a genuinely fun way to preview the music, and it gave guests the time to really hear the music.
The ticket itself was a collector’s item right from the start. If you look closely at the design, you will notice a built-in easter egg: the numbers 4, 16, and 26. That is today’s date. That is not a coincidence. Disney is pointing directly at April 16, 2026, as the day we will get the full opening date announcement and the complete Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets tracklist. We are watching, and we will have everything here at Fantasy Land News the moment it drops.

The Story Behind Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets
The new attraction story is pure Muppets from start to finish. The Electric Mayhem is headlining their biggest Hollywood concert ever, and every seat is sold out. The only problem is that the band is nowhere to be found.
The action begins across town at G-Force Records, a legendary Hollywood recording studio that has recently come under new management: The Muppets. Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse, helped the crew land the space. The studio has been fully transformed in true Muppet fashion into the perfect place to make music together, and that is exactly what The Electric Mayhem is doing when guests arrive. They are locked into rehearsing Can You Picture That and are not exactly in a hurry to leave. Scooter is doing his best to move things along. Guests will see whether that works.
Special guests featured alongside The Electric Mayhem include Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog, and The Great Gonzo. The full band is back: Dr. Teeth, Sergeant Floyd Pepper, Zoot, Lips, Janice, and Animal.

The Guitar and Courtyard Get a Muppet Makeover

The iconic oversized guitar outside the attraction is getting a new look. A vibrant, psychedelic design will cover the bottom of the guitar, inspired by a classic Muppet car paint job. The piano motif at the base of the guitar will also be updated with a golden key as a specific nod to Dr. Teeth. It is a small detail that will mean a lot to longtime Muppets fans.
The Two Songs We Heard

Disney has confirmed two tracks that will be part of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets experience, and both were available at the First Listen event.
The first is Song 2, the Blur track that has become a staple of every cover band on the planet. Hearing Dr. Teeth and Animal doing the “Woo-hoo” in the chorus is exactly as fun as it sounds. It fits the energy of a high-speed coaster perfectly and will absolutely get guests hyped at launch.
The second is Born to Be Wild, the Steppenwolf classic, which is listed as featuring Camilla the Chicken. This is where we want to be honest with you. The song is fun, and the concept is hilarious, but at the listening event, we had a hard time clearly picking out Camilla’s contribution in the mix. We were told she is definitely present in the chorus. We trust that. We just want more Camilla. Disney already uses Born to Be Wild on Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout at Disneyland, which we could not help but notice. It is not a bad song choice by any stretch, but it just is not the most surprising one. There are a lot of rock classics The Electric Mayhem could claim as their own, and we are curious to hear what the rest of the set list looks like.
Here’s what’s on the set list:
- Song 2 – The Electric Mayhem
- Born To Be Wild – The Electric Mayhem ft. Camilla the Chicken
- Love Rollercoaster – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennifer Hudson & Questlove
- Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop) – The Electric Mayhem ft. Def Leppard
- Walking on Sunshine – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kelly Clarkson
The Exit Experience: A New Filmed Segment

After guests exit the coaster, the experience does not end there. Disney announced that the ride will include a tribute to what Aerosmith had been doing at the original attraction, showing the band performing live. For Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, that means a behind-the-scenes look at The Electric Mayhem performing Can You Picture That at their sold-out show. Based on how this was described to us, this appears to be a newly filmed segment created specifically for the attraction. If Disney went to the effort of filming The Muppets performing for this exit experience, that is a meaningful commitment to the property and a strong sign of how seriously they are treating this transformation.
What This Means for Re-Rideability
Here is the thing that gets us most excited about the long game for this attraction. One of the biggest reasons Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT has remained one of the most popular rides at Walt Disney World since opening day is the music. Guests ride over and over trying to get their favorite song. They compare notes. They debate which one fits the ride best. That re-rideability built around a rotating set list is one of the most clever things Disney has done with a coaster in years.
We believe Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is going to work the same way. We expect the final set list to include around six songs. Guests will have their favorites. Some will be team Song 2. Some will want Born to Be Wild. Others will be holding out hope for a Can You Picture That full version or a Muppet Show theme riff. People are going to ride this attraction again and again, chasing their song. That is exactly what a great Muppets attraction deserves.
The Swag Was Outstanding
Walking out of the First Listen Experience, guests were sent home with a collection of items that ranged from fun to genuinely special. Disney handed out a brand new The Muppets Animal plush that appears to have just hit shelves, an official attractions poster, and a pair of sunglasses. All good. But the item that stopped us in our tracks was the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster coaster. Yes, a drink coaster for a roller coaster. It is a replica of a vinyl record, and it is one of the best event swag items we have ever walked away with. Someone at Disney deserves a raise for that one.
