Disney Just Put a Real Oscar Inside Hollywood Studios in New Display Disney at the Academy Awards in a brand new exhibit at Walt Disney World, and it is one of the most impressive showcases the attraction has seen in years. Just ahead of the 98th Academy Awards on March 15, Disney has installed a “Disney at the Academy Awards” display pulling real props, costumes, and awards straight from the Disney Archives.
Here is a breakdown of everything inside.
Rose’s Boarding Suit from Titanic. The centerpiece of the display is the ivory pinstripe suit worn by Kate Winslet as Rose in the 1997 film Titanic, produced by 20th Century Fox (now Disney-owned 20th Century Studios). The double-breasted jacket and floor-length skirt feature deep navy velvet lapels, a matching wide belt, and a full row of dark buttons running down the front. Up close, the costume detail is extraordinary. A matching dark umbrella and hat are displayed alongside the suit. The placard credits the costume to Best Costume Design.
Cruella’s Biker Ensemble from Cruella. Standing opposite Rose’s suit is the head-turning biker ensemble worn by Emma Stone as Cruella De Vil in Disney’s 2021 live-action film Cruella. The all-black leather look is covered in gold and bronze sequins and paired with knee-high lace-up boots. It is dramatic, bold, and exactly what you would expect from the character. The costume also earned a Best Costume Design win.
Oscar Statuette from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Displayed on a crystal platform at the center of the exhibit is the actual Oscar statuette Disney won for Best Special Effects for the 1954 film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Seeing a real Academy Award up close inside a theme park is a genuinely special moment.
Enchanted Bedknob and Isle of Naboombu Book from Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Two props from the beloved 1971 live-action/animation hybrid are on display: the enchanted bedknob and the Isle of Naboombu book, both tied to the film’s Best Special Visual Effects win. Fans of the classic film will get a real kick out of seeing these.
Evil Queen Maquette from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. A white porcelain-style maquette of the Evil Queen from Disney’s 1937 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs stands on a black pedestal, representing the Honorary Award for Screen Innovation the film received at the Academy Awards.
Joe Gardner and Dorothea Williams Maquettes from Soul. Two miniature figurines of Joe Gardner at the grand piano and Dorothea Williams with her saxophone represent Pixar’s Soul, which won Best Original Score in 2021. The gray-toned maquettes are incredibly detailed and a lovely nod to one of Pixar’s most celebrated films.
The Disney at the Academy Awards Story. A blue placard in the display tells the full story: Walt Disney won the company’s first Academy Award for Cartoon Short Subject in 1932. As of 2025, the Walt Disney Company has collected 155 Academy Awards total, and Walt Disney himself still holds the world record for most Academy Awards won by an individual at 33 statuettes.
Where to Find It. The display is located inside Walt Disney Presents in the Animation Courtyard area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The exhibit is free to visit with park admission and is timed to coincide with the 98th Academy Awards airing live on ABC and Hulu on Sunday, March 15 at 8 p.m. ET. It is not yet known how long the display will remain up after the ceremony.
If you are planning a trip to Hollywood Studios in the coming days, this is absolutely worth a stop.
