Disney and WEBTOON team up for a free racing comic series dropping episode by episode alongside the 2026 F1 season.
If you have ever watched a Formula 1 race and thought it needed more Mickey Mouse, you are about to get exactly that. Disney and WEBTOON have joined forces on Mickey x F1 Racing to the Top!, a brand new original vertical comic series that blends the world of elite racing with the familiar faces of Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and the rest of the gang.
What the Series Is About
The story kicks off with the Duckburg F1 Fan Club scoring a once-in-a-lifetime invite to film a behind-the-scenes documentary about a professional racing team. Things go sideways fast. On day one of the season, the team falls apart and the documentary is suddenly in jeopardy.
Rather than walk away, Mickey, Donald, and the crew step up and take on key roles themselves to keep the season alive. They also bring in Jun, a gifted taxi driver who has spent years dreaming of competing in Formula 1. What they do not expect is that Jun’s new teammate turns out to be his own sister Lia, the rival who left him behind years ago and never looked back.
The series follows their journey across the Grand Prix circuit as Jun and Lia are forced to race side by side, work through years of unresolved tension, and figure out whether they can actually function as a team. It is a story built on speed and competition, but at its heart, it is really about family, second chances, and what it takes to trust the person sitting in the other seat.
The series is created by Brandon Chen and Kisai Entertainment, with new episodes releasing every Saturday throughout the 2026 race season.
Built for a New Generation of Fans
The series was designed with newer audiences in mind. That includes people who may have recently discovered F1 through its growing global fanbase, as well as younger readers who grew up with Mickey and Friends and are now finding their way into the world of motorsport. The comic brings both worlds together without requiring deep knowledge of either.
New characters like Jun and Lia carry the emotional core of the story, while Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy bring the warmth and humor that has made the franchise last for nearly a century. The result reads like a proper racing drama while staying grounded in the kind of friendship-first storytelling Disney does well.
