Ravensburger Expands Disney Lorcana Universe with First Ever Official Collectors Guides

Ravensburger Expands Disney Lorcana Universe with First-Ever Official Collector’s Guides. Ravensburger, the award-winning publisher behind the hit trading card game (TCG) Disney Lorcana, has officially expanded into the world of publishing. As of February 1, 2026, fans across the globe can now dive deeper into the lore of the Great Illuminary with the release of the first official Disney Lorcana books.

The new lineup includes two comprehensive Collector’s Guides and a premium Disney Lorcana Notebook, designed to bridge the gap between competitive play and the rich narrative history of the game.

A Journey Through the First Two Years

The Disney Lorcana Collector’s Guide series serves as both a narrative companion and a completionist’s dream. Covering the game’s evolution since its 2023 launch, the two volumes are now available in the United States, Canada, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.

Key Features of the Guides:

  • Full Card Catalogues: Volumes 1-4 and 5-8 include high-resolution imagery and a complete list of every card released in the first two years.
  • Deep Lore & New Stories: For the first time, Ravensburger is revealing the “story connections” between sets, including short stories that explain the motivations of characters and the overarching plot of the Lorcana realm.
  • Premium Design: Each guide features a gold foil cover and is packed with “Easter eggs” hidden within the illustrations.

“We worked super hard to make the Disney Lorcana Collector’s Guides something fans could truly enjoy,” said Shane Hartley, Vice President of Creative for the TCG. “These books provide Illumineers a way to revisit those first sets and experience the entire journey.”

Our take on the books:

We’ve spent some time reading through these ourselves. Here is what we actually thought:

The card list is the best part. It’s very helpful to see every image in one place when you’re trying to figure out what’s missing from your binders. The art looks great on the page—much better than it does on the tiny cards.

The stories also give you a reason to care about the characters. Before this, you just played the cards. Now you get to know why the characters are doing what they’re doing. If you want more lore or just want to track your collection easily, these are worth getting. We recommend them.

Why We Recommend Them:

Visual Splendor: The artwork is truly amazing. Seeing the card illustrations expanded and printed on high-quality paper allows you to appreciate details that are often lost on the small 2.5″ x 3.5″ card frames.

The Ultimate Checklist: We found the full list of cards with images to be super useful. Whether you’re a completionist trying to see what you’re missing or a player looking for specific versions of a character, the visual catalog is a game-changer.

Narrative Depth: The stories behind each set really add a layer of immersion. They provide a much-needed “why” behind the game, explaining the world-building and the connections between the different sets that weren’t always obvious just by looking at the cards.

With the second volume covering sets up to Reign of Jafar, the guides effectively document the first “era” of Lorcana before the game moves into its highly anticipated 2026 expansions, including the upcoming Winterspell set.
