Disney Lorcana Next Set ‘Winterspell’ Adds Darkwing Duck and a New Elsa Story. Ravensburger just announced the next expansion for the Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game, titled Winterspell. Launching in February 2026, the set introduces a winter theme triggered by an Elsa glimmer’s magic gone wrong. Players can expect new cards featuring characters from Pocahontas, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, and Darkwing Duck, alongside unique “Papercut Style” artwork and a new “Frost foil” effect for collectors.
While collectors are taking over Epcot’s Festival of the Arts 2026, doing the Disney Lorcana Ink & Find Scavenger Hunt, and the Collectors Quest, we now know more about the upcoming Winterspell set!
The new set picks up right after the events of Whispers in the Well. Here is the gist: an Elsa glimmer tried to freeze a mysterious plant growing out of the Inklands. Things didn’t go as planned, and now the entire realm is covered in ice and snow.
Ravensburger released a behind-the-scenes video on YouTube focusing on “Elsa – Ice Artisan” to show exactly how her magic caused this mess. Check out Disney Lorcana for more information!
The team is leaning hard into the winter aesthetic. Two of the big “Iconic” cards—Moana – Curious Explorer and Pocahontas – Peacekeeper—will feature a “Papercut Style” meant to look like hand-cut paper snowflakes.
If you like shiny cards, the Enchanted versions in this set have a “Frost foil” finish. It’s a specific look designed to make the cards look like they’re covered in a thin layer of ice
You can get your hands on the new cards on February 13, 2026: Prerelease at local game stores and Disney Stores, and February 20, 2026: Wide release at big-box retailers and online. Pre-orders are already live at most online shops.
What’s Coming Next?
Ravensburger also shared a roadmap for the rest of 2024. Once the snow melts, the game moves into the wilderness and then toward a giant threat.
- Wilds Unknown (Spring): This set arrives May 15 (with early access on May 8). It features characters from Toy Story, The Incredibles, and Brave exploring the “Wilds Unknown.”
- Attack of the Vine! (Summer): This set introduces Mike and Sulley from Monsters Inc. and deals with a “colossal threat” taking over the realm.
- Late 2026: The game will eventually move to an “enchanted metropolis,” though we don’t have a name for that set yet.
