Disney Jr. Announces Premiere Date for “Hey A.J.!” Inspired by Super Bowl Champion Martellus Bennett. Disney Jr. announced today the premiere of the new animated family comedy series, “Hey A.J.!”, debuting with a marathon of the first seven episodes on Tuesday, Jan. 13, from 7:00–10:15 a.m. EST/PST. The episodes will air on Disney Jr. and will be available later that day on Disney Channel and Disney Jr. On Demand. The series will be available for streaming on Disney+ starting Wednesday, Jan. 14, with additional new episodes rolling out later in the year.
“Hey A.J.!” is a whimsical, music-filled family comedy inspired by the children’s books of author and former Super Bowl champion, Martellus Bennett. The series follows an imaginative young girl named A.J. who, alongside her stuffed bunny sidekick, Theo, uses her powerful imagination to transform ordinary moments in her life into extraordinary, vibrant adventures.
Executive produced by Bennett, alongside Emmy® Award winner Jeff “Swampy” Marsh (“Phineas and Ferb“) and GRAMMY®-nominated songwriter/producer Michael Hodges (“The Garfield Movie”) from Surfing Giant Studios, the show is designed to be relatable for preschoolers and features colorful 2D animation and energetic, imaginative songs for families to enjoy together. The series is produced by Surfing Giant Studios in association with Disney Jr., from Disney Branded Television.
The series features a talented voice cast, including:

- Innocent Ekakitie as Jazz

A stellar lineup of celebrity guest voices is also set to appear, including Meghan Trainor, Cristo Fernández, Bootsy Collins, Kate Miccuci, Maulik Pancholy, Calum Scott, Lena Waithe, and retired NASA astronaut and engineer Leland Melvin, who will guest star as himself.

Fans can get a sneak peek into the show’s musical heart as the official “Hey A.J.!” theme song is released today, Friday, Dec. 5, through Walt Disney Records. “Hey A.J.!” is set to inspire young audiences to embrace the magic of their own imaginations when it premieres on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026.
