Giant Aladdin Drone Show Testing Spotted Over Disney’s Golden Oak Ranch. A massive new drone show, featuring images from Disney’s Aladdin, including the Genie, Genie’s Hand, and the Sultan’s Palace, has been spotted testing over the remote Walt Disney’s Golden Oak Ranch. This appears to include more drones than we have seen in past Disney drone shows here in the US.
The Disney Ranch / Walt Disney’s Golden Oak Ranch is located an hour north of Disneyland, with 890 acres of filming areas, located in the Santa Clarita Valley, and has two back lots.
The last time we saw a drone show at a Disney Park was here at Walt Disney World in Disney Springs, with a show called Disney Dreams That Soar, which ran from May 24th, 2024, to September 2nd, 2024. Disneyland has never done a drone show. Disneyland Paris has had a few drone shows over the past few years.
Could this be testing for a new show coming to Disneyland or Disney World? Or would a drone show this complex be done for a future film? Disneyland is officially an FAA No-Fly zone with a permanent federal restriction in place. But, so is Walt Disney World, and they got permission in the past to run drone shows.
The drone testing was captured on video in the overnight hours by Instagram user Plants_of_Disney, as seen in the post embedded below.
