DeLorean Popcorn Bucket for Back to the Future 40th Anniversary AMC. AMC Theatres has made it official that the Delorean Popcorn Bucket and a new Retro Delorean Tumbler Cup are going to be available on October 26th, 2025.
The duo, Popcorn DeLorean and Back to the Future cup have shown up at various AMC Theatres over the past few months and we’re priced at $40 for Delorean, amd $10 for the cup.
They will be available at AMC Theatres, there is no word about being available online as of this writing.
Updated 10/21/2025 – AMC has finally announced details: “Travel BACK TO THE FUTURE with a collectible light-up Time Machine popcorn holder and commemorative cup. Each comes with a large popcorn or a drink. Available in theatres 10/26 while supplies last.“
The date of the Delorean Time Machine Popcorn Bucket is according to the official release from AMC Theatres. We will update if this gets changed since it is the 21st and well past the 6th. Updated to the 26th! Thx AMC!

Updated 7/26/2025 – Real! The Delorean Popcorn Bucket is being sold at the SDCC AMC Theaters booth this weekend. Is it a direct tie-in with the 40th Anniversary? We do not know, but it is being sold, and below you can see an Instagram Post from DeloreanTECH of an unboxing. The Delorean Popcorn Bucket is the same one sold last year at Cinemex. The Delorean image released is a previously released popcorn bucket from last year. The Back to the Future II Delorean Time Machine popcorn holder was released at Cinemex for the 35th anniversary of the movie in October of 2024. How do we know it is from Back to the Future II? It has the Mr. Fusion unit on the back of the DMC-12; this was added for the final scene in the original Back to the Future, but it is mostly known as the Back to the Future II Delorean.
The box image shows Vendor: Snapco, a popcorn bucket and novelty manufacturer. They recently are the ones who made the M3GAN 2.0, Superman, and Jurassic Park AMC Theaters Popcorn Buckets. AMC does have a special shopping page for the 40th Anniversary of Back to the Future, and AMC and theaters have gone all in on Popcorn Buckets over the past 2 years, and for good reason. In 2022, movie theaters made $0 from popcorn buckets, and in 2023, profits went up $54 million from selling popcorn buckets and tumblers.
