‘Disney Celebrates America’ at Walt Disney World July Fourth Fireworks and National Broadcast for 250th Anniversary. Walt Disney World Resort will increase its Independence Day programming for the 250th anniversary of the United States. Disney announced this morning a new ride overlay coming to Soarin’ called Soarin’ Across America. Also announced is the expansion of Disney World’s 4th of July fireworks with a national broadcast from the Magic Kingdom.
Disney Parks officially announced this morning, “The celebration will culminate on the July 4th weekend with a 24-hour, multi-platform broadcast, “Disney Celebrates America,” highlighting America’s 250thanniversary events nationwide across Disney’s platforms, including Disney+, Hulu, ABC, Disney Channel, ESPN, Freeform, FXand National Geographic, ending with a special evening fireworks broadcast from Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.
David Muir, anchor and managing editor of “World News Tonight with David Muir,” will lead the daylong coverage and be joined by ABC News anchors and correspondents reporting from across the country for this one-in-a-lifetime presentation featuring top entertainers, athletes, explorers, and historians – all coming together to spotlight the wonder, achievements, and dreams that define the American spirit.“
Fireworks Schedule Expansion – The standard Magic Kingdom fireworks show, “Disney’s Celebrates America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky,” will run for three consecutive nights instead of the typical two. The perimeter fireworks display over Cinderella Castle will be presented on:

- Saturday, July 4, 2026
- Sunday, July 5, 2026
The extended schedule aims to manage anticipated crowds over the holiday weekend.
National Broadcast and New Attractions – The resort will serve as a key location for the company-wide initiative, “Disney Celebrates America.”
- Broadcast Focus: On July 4th, the Magic Kingdom fireworks will be the finale of a 24-hour, multi-platform national broadcast called “Disney Celebrates America,” airing across ABC, Disney+, ESPN, and Hulu.
- New Attraction: The celebration includes the summer 2026 debut of “Soarin’ Across America” at EPCOT, replacing the Soarin’ Around the World film with an all-new experience highlighting U.S. landmarks.

Liberty Square is home to the Spirit of ’76, where you can see a replica of the Liberty Bell, take on last ride on the paddleboat Liberty Belle.
