The cast and filmmakers of TRON: Ares took to the red carpet last night for the world premiere, which was followed by a performance by Nine Inch Nails. NIN performed the first single from the TRON: Ares soundtrack, which they wrote and scored, ‘As Alive As You Need Me To Be.’
The 2025 leg of Nine Inch Nails’ “Peel it Back” tour is complete, and the schedule has paid off: the band’s red carpet show was tight, focused, and powerful. Watch the performance below*.

From the Walt Disney Studios Press Release: “The evening featured a pulse-pounding, immersive live musical performance by Nine Inch Nails outside of the TCL Chinese Theater at the conclusion of the screening. The pioneering industrial rock band performed three songs from the film’s 24-track soundtrack, including the hit single “As Alive As You Need Me To Be.”
“TRON: Ares” marks the first-ever film score by the pioneering band under their Nine Inch Nails moniker, although bandmates Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have composed 20 scores under their own names, winning two Oscars®, three Golden Globes®, a GRAMMY®, and an Emmy® in the process.”
The soundtrack features the previously released singles “As Alive As You Need Me To Be” and “Who Wants to Live Forever?”. The complete score includes 24 tracks, showcasing the band’s signature blend of dark, atmospheric soundscapes and driving electronic beats, all perfectly suited to the futuristic, high-stakes world of TRON.
