Space 220 Lounge Menu Gets an Upgrade for 4th Anniversary

Space 220 Lounge Menu Gets an Upgrade for 4th Anniversary. Four years after opening, the Space 220 Restaurant in Epcot looks and tastes like it just opened. With beautiful and ambient scenery, and a new updated lounge menu, you will want to make a trip back up the Stellevator and travel 220 miles above Earth to try out these new à la carte menu items.

We were there 4 years ago (working for someone else) when Space 220 opened for the first time, and quite literally had our breath taken away at the dining space. The opening ceremony was spectacular, with dignitaries from around the world, NASA astronauts, and Mickey & Minnie Mouse. Fireworks that blasted off with Mission Space in the background, as the rope was cut. Our fondest memory of leaving the new restaurant was the massive crowd that had gathered to try to be one of the first guests to eat at Space 220.

We have enjoyed eating at Space 220 many times with our family, and solo trips to the lounge have always been a highlight of our trip to the Park. Now, with the fourth anniversary, the chefs at Space 220 have upgraded the menu, including a few small changes to items that have been available for years now.

The highlight for us is the new DLR Curry Wurst, which is bratwurst with a curry ketchup. Currywurst is one of the biggest-selling fast food items in Germany, with over 800 million eaten every year. To the US consumers, it may be a newer menu item; we think the guests will enjoy this addition to the Space 220 Lounge menu.
