Stardust Racer will remain closed until the investigation is completed.
The incident took place on Wednesday night, September 17, 2025, when the guest was riding the Stardust Racers roller coaster at the Universal Orlando Resorts park and became unresponsive in the middle of the ride, according to a statement from Universal Orlando Resorts. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has not released the name or age of the guest.

A Spokesperson commented: “We are devastated by this event and extend our sincerest sympathies to the guest’s loved ones,” said Universal Orlando Resorts. “We are fully committed to cooperating with this ongoing investigation.”
Epic Universe and Stardust Racers opened on May 22nd, 2025. It is the newest theme park to open in the US. Epic Universe is the fourth theme park to open as part of Universal Orlando.
