When is D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 2026? Dates Announced! Disney’s biggest fan event is coming back in a big way.
During the first day of Destination D23, D23 head Michael Vargo announced that D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will return to Anaheim, California, from August 14-16, 2026. Tickets are set to go on sale in Spring 2026.
“We are already hard at work dreaming up ways to continue raising the bar for Disney fans next year when we return to Anaheim, and we can’t wait to bring them a truly unforgettable event,” Vargo said.
This event, reimagined last year, will once again take over both the Anaheim Convention Center and the Honda Center. Fans can expect marquee presentations with major announcements, immersive experiences, exclusive shopping, and extended “D23 Days” at Disneyland and Angel Stadium. Panels from Disney Experiences, Walt Disney Studios, and, of course, the Legend Award Ceremonies.
It’s not just about 2026. Vargo also shared a packed schedule of new D23 offerings for the coming year, including:
- D23 Spotlight Series: A “Spooktacular Spotlight” event with Walt Disney Imagineering in Orlando, FL, and a Halloween “Boo-nanza” in California.
- A “Home Alone” tour: To celebrate the film’s 35th anniversary, D23 will bring interactive screenings to over 18 U.S. cities, starting November 1.
- Holiday festivities: The popular “A Jolly Holiday on the Lot” returns to The Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA, on December 14.
- Virtual events: A D23 Gold Theater virtual event will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay.
- More tours: Details on a new “Walt’s Los Angeles Tour” and expanded ticketing for The Official Walt Disney Studios Walking Tour are coming soon.
In further D23 news, announced by Michael Vargo: Disney Legend and voice of Ariel, Jodi Benson, was named the first official D23 FAN-bassador. She will engage with fans and make appearances leading up to the 2026 event. She was presented with her new Gold Cast Member name tag on stage during Destination D23.
