Live Updates from Destination D23 Day 2 at Walt Disney World. Today is day 2 of the panels and presentations at Destination D23, and we are front row to all the action and Disney announcements. Any news that comes out, we will be updating the article throughout the day. The event, a smaller-scale alternative to the biennial D23: The Ultimate Fan Event, has historically been valued by fans for its Disney panels and exclusive content.
Destination D23 officially kicked off last Tuesday, August 26th, with fan events at Disney Springs. On Day 1 of Destination D23 panels, we received some exciting news and information from Walt Disney Studios, as well as some unexpected Walt Disney World updates, including the arrival of a Walt Disney animatronic at the Carousel of Progress! TRON: Ares will take over Tron Lightcycle Run starting next month, and we now have a glimpse into the future of some popcorn buckets.
Today, we will hear from Disney Experiences and could potentially get some news about the upcoming Disney Villains Land coming to the Magic Kingdom, and some news about Disney Channel’s upcoming projects.

11:20 – Kevin Kern and Steven Vagnini are on stage for Down the Rabbit Hole presentation. We are asked not to video or take photos until the end.
11:10 – We are back talking the Three Caballeros around Disney Parks. Grand Fiesta Tour at Epcot, Holidays at Disneyland.
11:00 – Presenting the Destination D23 sponsor LUG. Ashley Eckstein and the owners of Lug.
10:50 – Short morning break. We will continue updating after. Our best guess for Disney Parks news will be during the Beyond the Spires: An Insider Look at Disney Castles around 2.
10:25 – The Three Caballeros: From El Grupo to Goodwill Classics (Part 2) just wrapped up. Becky Cline then brings out Roy Patrick Disney, the grandson of Roy O. Disney.
10:05 – Ron Clements has a new book coming out “Making Disney Magic …From Mermaids to Moana”
9:47 – Jodi Benson comes out and does a great Vanessa! Which she voiced. Jodi brings out Ron Clements to talk The Little Mermaid!

9:20 – Conjured Architecture! Yup, we got conjured Architecture (sigh). Imagineers spoke about inspiration from different cities like Paris, and that’s it! More info coming soon.
