Star Wars BDX Droids Landed at Walt Disney World. The ever-popular BDX droids have arrived at Hollywood Studios this morning! BDX droids are a new generation of expressive, free-roaming robotic characters introduced into the Star Wars universe, notably making appearances at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney Parks and slated for the upcoming The Mandalorian & Grogu film in 2026.
Briefly seen at Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge last year, and most recently at Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris, the three droids. Red, the strong-hearted leader, is very charismatic and always has a plan for everything. Oscar is wild-hearted and a droid full of energy, and then there is Grek, who is sweet and the newest droid.
The Star Wars BDX Droids will be at Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World from today until August 30th. Appearing at various locations: 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. All three droids, along with their handle, go through some basic movements and expressive moments during the show.
Just for your information, if there is even a drop of rain, the show will be immediately stopped to protect the droids at all costs.

These bipedal droids, standing around three feet tall, are designed by Walt Disney Imagineering to be playful, curious, and highly interactive. Utilizing advanced technology like reinforcement learning and an AI-driven physics engine called Newton, BDX droids can move, balance, and convey emotions with remarkable believability, allowing for dynamic and spontaneous interactions with guests.
While sharing a similar design aesthetic to the popular BD-series droid BD-1 from the Jedi video game franchise, BDX droids represent a significant leap in immersive entertainment, bringing living characters to life in a way that blends cutting-edge robotics with compelling storytelling.
