Their brand-new indoor roller coaster, set to open in 2026, will immerse guests in an incredible space theme. Get ready to explore the LEGO Galaxy and experience a truly stellar adventure!
Get ready for lift off! LEGOLAND ® Florida Resort –operated by Merlin Entertainments, a global leader in branded entertainment destinations – is charting a course for an out-of-this-world adventure with a brand-new, space-themed experience set to launch in early 2026.
Families will be invited to blast off into an imaginative LEGO® galaxy packed with adventure, including an immersive, groundbreaking indoor roller coaster. The new coaster promises to be the most technologically advanced attraction the Resort has ever created, brought to life by
Merlin Magic Making’s global team of designers and engineers, in close collaboration with the LEGO Group.
“This is more than just a ride! It’s a fully immersive mission that starts the minute guests enter the building,” said Senior Project Manager of Merlin Magic Making, Blake Boyter. “From lift off to landing, the result is LEGOLAND Florida’s most ambitious attraction to date — built for explorers big and small.”

Prepare to journey to a brick-built galaxy where passengers from past, present, and future worlds travel together into LEGO® space. The new area will feature:
- The Ultimate Indoor Coaster Experience: Buckle up for an all-new, indoor roller coaster that propels guests into an interactive LEGO space adventure blasting off from the LEGOLAND SPACEPORT 885 launchpad, named in homage to one of the original LEGO® Space Scooter sets, #885. This marks the first new roller coaster to open inside the main LEGOLAND® Florida theme park since the Resort’s debut in 2011, launching a new era of innovation and adventure for young space explorers.
- Orbital Outpost: Touch down in a themed retail shop packed with stellar souvenirs, space gear, and LEGO sets to commemorate your mission.
- Queue Experience: The journey begins before takeoff with a covered, story-driven queue area inside LEGOLAND SPACEPORT 885 that invites families to engage, imagine, and prepare for launch, whether there’s rain or shine!
- DUPLO® TOT Spot for Tiny Astronauts: Little explorers ages 1–4 can jump, crawl, and play in this shaded, soft-surfaced area featuring DUPLO bricks, vehicles, characters, and a photo op, with nearby seating for grown-ups.
Construction began two years ago and is located in the northernmost corner of LEGO City. More details about this stellar expansion, including the official ride name and grand opening date, will be revealed as the 2026 launch approaches.
This first-of-its-kind indoor coaster experience is set to launch at both LEGOLAND Florida Resort and LEGOLAND California Resort in 2026, marking the biggest ever single in-park investment in each Resort’s history, with more than $90 million being spent across both locations to bring these groundbreaking coasters to life. The experience will blend the creativity of LEGO building with an exhilarating storyline and ride technology that only LEGOLAND Resorts can deliver for families with children ages 2 to 12.
Entry to the new space-themed experience will be included with general park admission and all Annual Passes. There’s no better time to secure an Annual Pass than now!
