Lillian Disney Receives Window Honors for the Disneyland 70th Anniversary. The wife of Walt Disney and the woman who named Mickey Mouse, Lillian Disney, has finally received a Window on Main Street USA in Disneyland for the resort’s 70th Anniversary.
You know something is a big deal at The Walt Disney Company when the CEO, Robert Iger, along with Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, the Walt Disney Family museum, and the Walt Disney Archives, all share the news on Social Media. Today, Disneyland has unveiled a window dedication to Lillian Disney that appears on Main Street USA inside the Disneyland Park.
The new window “Lilly’s Bountiful Blooms Flowers & Fancies” with a flower bouquet in the middle of the window & “Lillian Bounds Disney” followed by the words “Inspiring Worlds of Color and Happiness“.
The second-story windows lining Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland are more than just architectural detail; they are a tradition honoring the individuals who significantly contributed to the creation and legacy of Disneyland. Inspired by Walt Disney’s boyhood hometown of Marceline, Missouri, these windows feature the names of key Imagineers, artists, executives, and other dedicated cast members, and now wife of Walt Disney, Lillian Disney, often disguised as proprietors of fictional businesses related to their work or interests.

The Walt Disney Family Museum said, “We are delighted to share a new window on Main Street, U.S.A., honoring Lillian Disney and her contributions to Disneyland. The window was unveiled in a private ceremony on July 13, 2025—Walt and Lillian Disney’s 100th wedding anniversary. One of the highest honors at The Walt Disney Company, the tradition of honoring individuals with a personalized decorative window on Main Street, U.S.A. was started by Walt Disney and continues today at Disney Parks worldwide.”
Mr. Robert Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, posted: “A long overdue Main St. window for Lillian Disney, Walt’s wonderful wife, and an important part of our company’s rich history!”
Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks: “Honoring Lillian Disney with a beautiful window on Main Street is the perfect way to start our anniversary week.”
