Disney’s Snow White: How to Celebrate at Disney Parks Worldwide. Disney’s newest live-action movie “Snow White” is now in theaters across the world, and you can celebrate no matter what Disney Park you may be visiting. Locally here at Walt Disney World, we have three different ways to meet Snow White herself. Plus, you can see the Seven Dwarfs in the Festival of Fantasy Parade, or take a ride on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in the Magic Kingdom.

The ways to celebrate “Snow White” are almost endless at Disney Parks. As for the movie itself, we just had to opportunity to see an advance screening here at AMC24 in Disney Springs with D23. The attraction, inspired by the 1937 Walt Disney Animation Studios film, debuted as Snow White’s Adventures with the opening of Disneyland on July 17, 1955, and was later reimagined as Snow White’s Scary Adventures, which opened on May 25, 1983. Walt Disney Imagineering then made further updates to the classic Fantasyland attraction in 2021, changing the name to Snow White’s Enchanted Wish.

Snow White’s Adventures opened in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World on October 1, 1971, before being renamed during the renovation to Snow White’s Scary Adventures in 1994. Part of this reimagining was to include the character of Snow White in the ride for the first time. At Walt Disney World, you can now find the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Additionally, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs opened at Tokyo Disneyland on April 15, 1983, followed by the opening of Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains on April 12, 1992, at Disneyland Paris. The enchanting story of Snow White now lives happily ever after across Disney parks!

Snow White Grotto at Disneyland – Throughout the years, the Snow White Grotto and wishing well at Disneyland Resort has proven itself as a popular area for photographs, for guests to toss in a coin and make a wish, or for happily ever afters, of course! However, the story of the popular area is even more magical.

Dedication ceremony Snow White Grotto at Disneyland Resort

The Snow White Grotto at Disneyland Resort was officially dedicated on April 9, 1961, with a special ceremony that included Walt Disney and some special guests. Today, you can still see the marble figures of Snow White characters displayed just outside Sleeping Beauty Castle and make a wish at the wishing well.

Coins tossed into the well today help make the many wish visits at Disneyland Resort possible for children with critical illnesses, in collaboration with wish-granting organizations like Make-A-Wish.

Snow White Grotto in Disneyland Facts:

  • The Snow White figure was originally the same height as the seven Dwarfs.
  • Disney Legend, Animator, and Imagineer, John Hench, resolved the height issue by using “forced perspective” so that Snow White seems to be the proper size compared to the Seven Dwarfs.
  • The original figures of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs are all made from Carrara marble from Italy by Sculptor Leonida Parma.
  • Snow White Grotto can also be found at both Tokyo Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland.
