Orange Bird is Now Available to “Create Your Own Headband” at Walt Disney World. The love for a bird with an orange for a head is a “Walt Disney World” thing. If you can put his image on merchandise, normally during Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival, people will buy it, especially Disney Ears. While the ears are normally flat looking and have a huge Minnie bow in the center, this time, it is just Orange Bird’s round head that can be made into a set of ears with the hugely popular “Create Your Own Headband” at Disney Springs.
The most recent edition was Figment’s Head, which we found at the Creation Shop in Epcot and is now available around Disney World. So far, we have only seen the little bird at the Disney Springs location in Ever After. We will try and verify if Orange Bird is available at the other locations around the Parks.
“Create Your Own Headbands” can be done at Hollywood Studios inside Beverly Sunset Boutique, in Epcot at Creation Shop. The Emporium sells them at Magic Kingdom and, finally, Riverside Depot at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

I think, if we did ours it would be Anxiety, Joy, Figment, and of course Dale! Which leaves room for one more…ah throw in Mickey and you have our complete Disney personality on a headband.
Orange Bird was created in 1970 as a mascot for the Florida Citrus Commission, which sponsored the Enchanted Tiki Room and Sunshine Tree Terrace in the Magic Kingdom. Orange Bird was a prominent figure in Disney advertising and merchandise throughout the 1970s and early 1980s. After a period of absence, Orange Bird came back in recent years, on merchandise and even returned to his perch at the Sunshine Tree Terrace.
