Seating Reopens at Woody’s Lunch Box—No Shade Added. You can once again enjoy a Tacho Bowl or a Pastry Tart snack while sitting down at Woody’s Lunch Box in Hollywood Studios. Seating has returned to the quick service restaurant, partially anyway.
In September of 2024, Disney had closed off the seating area to begin construction on the area. The thought at the time was they were going to add extra seating and shade. Yes, they have added the much-needed extra seating, but not any shade that we noticed.
Lack of seating has been a touchy subject on Reddit and other Disney forums, with guests wanting to start petitions, also wanting rules in place for folks to only be able to sit at Woody’s Lunch Box if they had ordered food. The lack of seating conversation has been about the whole of Toy Story Land, along with the lack of shade, but that is another article.
Overflow seating is still available, while work is being finished on Woody’s Lunch Box, it can be found at the entrance to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, close to the large Buzz Lightyear and entrance to Alien Swirling Saucers. No word on when construction will be complete. Who knows, they could still add shade, but for now, nothing has been done.
