Final “Mufasa” Trailer Does The Pridelands Justice Making the Disney Studios Movie a Must Watch. Shenzi: I just hear that name and I shudder. In Disney’s The Lion King, the three hyenas have a conversation that goes like this: “Banzai: Mufasa! Shenzi: Ooh, do it again. Banzai: Mufasa, Mufasa, Mufasa! Shenzi: It tingles me! Scar: I’m surrounded by idiots.” Since the day we saw it back in 1994, every time we hear the name Mufasa, we will shudder! You would think that would get old, but not with Disney Studios about to release the prequel to the 2019 live-action version of The Lion King, Mufasa, we can’t get enough shuddering.

Early teasers and trailers showed how beautiful the scenery in Mufasa is going to be, they also gave us a brief plot line, it wasn’t until this final Mufasa trailer that we finally got a comprehensive narrative. The final “Mufasa” trailer is playing before Walt Disney Animation’s Moana 2 now in theaters. All our favorite characters are here including Timon & Pumba, Rafiki, Sirabi, Nala, Simba, along with Taka a lion who later becomes known as Scar and Mufasa.

Tickets are on sale now everywhere tickets are sold for Disney’s all-new feature film “Mufasa: The Lion King.” Exploring the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands, “Mufasa: The Lion King” opens only in theaters on Dec. 20, 2024.

Exploring the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands, “Mufasa: The Lion King” enlists Rafiki to relay the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature schtick. Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka—the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion an expansive journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destiny—their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade a threatening and deadly foe.
