Disney Mickey’s Christmas Carol Window Display Returns to Magic Kingdom for the Holidays 2024. Once again Scrooge McDuck as Ebenezer Scrooge, Goofy as Marley’s Ghost, Donald Duck as Nephew Fred, Mickey Mouse plays Bob Cratchit, plus Willie the Giant as the Ghost of Christmas Present (chocolate pot roast with “pishmachio”, with “smishmachio” With… with yogurt) and Pete plays Ghost of Christmas Future. The story of Mickey’s Christmas Carol is portrayed in the front windows of The Emporium during the holiday season.
Playing out in six scenes, across 6 different window panels. We get the basics of Dickenson’s Classic “A Christmas Carol” told in only the way Disney can and did. Mickey’s Christmas Carol is a 1983 animated adaptation of Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol. In the story, Scrooge McDuck takes on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge. Adapted from the original Disney version that was sold as a record recording from 1974.
I have such a memory of songs that were on the record and never made it to the final Disney Animated Short Film. Does anyone else remember Scrooge singing the Money Song? Disneyland Records 1974, look it up. I am not crazy. Anyway, I digress, let us go through the window displays that feature the actual movement of characters.
There is more to see at the Magic Kingdom and all around Walt Disney World Resort during the 2024 Holidays. Meet Santa Claus, enjoy a night out at Jollywood Nights or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and head over to Disney Springs for a Christmas Tree Stroll.
MICKEY’S CHRISTMAS CAROL Based on the book “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens.
Nephew Fred: “Merry Christmas Bob Cratchit! Merry Christmas Uncle Scrooge…” Scrooge: “What’s so merry about it? I’ll tell you what Christmas is – it’s just another workday, and any jackanapes who thinks else should be boiled in his own pudding!” Nephew Fred: “I don’t care – I say Merry Christmas anyway.”
Marley’s Ghost: “…and so as punishment, I’m forced to carry these heavy chains through eternity! Maybe even longer! I’m doomed! Doomed!… and the same thing will happen to you EBENEZER SCROOGE!”
Scrooge: “Why it’s Fezziwig’s!…I couldn’t have worked for a kinder man!… and there’s all my dearest friends…there…there’s lovely Isabel! And that’s me!” Ghost of Christmas Past: “Yes, Scrooge, that was before you became a miserable miser consumed by greed.”
Scrooge: “Please, Please, dont eat me!” Ghost of Christmas Present: “Why would the GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT (that’s me) want to eat a distasteful little miser like you, especially when there are so many good things in life like this… the food of generosity…which you have long denied your fellow man?”
Ghost of Christmas Future: “This is your FUTURE Ebenezer…the richest man in the cemetery! HA! HA! HA!” Scrooge: “Spirit…ah…ah.. I’ll change my ways! P…P-L-E-A-S-E…I’ll change!”
On Christmas Day Scrooge makes a surprise visit to the home of his faithful employee, Bob Cratchit, with gifts for all. Scrooge: “Merry Christmas, Tiny Tim!” Tiny Tim: “And God bless us, everyone!”
And thus ends out looking at these amazing Disney Mickey’s Christmas Carol Window Displays at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. They will be on display throughout the holidays. Just enter the Magic Kingdom, go towards The Emporium, turn towards the Barber Shop, and start at the first Emporium Window you see.
