What is Fantasy Land News?
Fantasy Land News is a Disney and entertainment news site founded in 2023. We cover Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Animation, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, and movie theater news, including collectible merchandise. We are based in Davenport, Florida, minutes from Walt Disney World.
Do you live near Walt Disney World?
Yes. We are located in Davenport, Florida. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is 6.1 miles from our door. Universal Orlando is 24 minutes away and SeaWorld is 20 minutes away. Being this close to the parks is what allows us to report on what is actually happening on the ground every day.
How often do you visit the parks?
Constantly. In 2024, we were on Walt Disney World property for 303 days, Universal Orlando for 22 days, and SeaWorld for 10 trips. We expect 2025 to be no different. There is always something new happening and we want to be there when it does.

Where do your news stories come from?
We receive press releases directly from Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, and various PR companies. We also go into the parks daily to see what is happening firsthand. All news is sourced. We do not publish rumors or user-submitted leaks.
Are you part of The Walt Disney Company or Universal?
No. Fantasy Land News is completely independent. We are not affiliated, associated, authorized, or endorsed by The Walt Disney Company, Disney Enterprises, Universal, or any of their subsidiaries.
