Life Sized Moana Added to DVC Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. Inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “Moana,” and the natural elements of water, earth, wind and sky, Island Tower will embrace the beloved resort’s story theming, immersing guests in the spirit and cultures of Polynesia.
Each room type will also showcase custom artwork and feature just-like-home amenities. Sustainable design elements, such as rugs made mostly from recycled plastic bottles, will be thoughtfully incorporated throughout the Island Tower, in line with Disney’s 2030 environmental goals.

We’re thrilled to share another exciting milestone as we “make way” towards the opening of the Island Tower addition at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows on December 17!
This week, life-size sculptures of Moana and her iconic canoe were unveiled at the tower’s new splash pad play area called “Moana’s Voyage.”

Just like Moana on her epic ocean adventure, little wayfinders will be able to embark on their own journey in this family-friendly splash zone. Kids will discover the wonders of water with playful sprayers and bubbly fountains all around them as their imaginations flow free.
The brand-new tower will make a splash with even more water features. Guests and Disney Vacation Club members will be able to unwind at the stunning Cove Pool, a zero-entry pool that will be perfect for lounging all day under the Florida sunshine.
But that’s not all. These exciting new additions will join the already beloved lineup of restaurants, lounges, shops, and pools that make Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows a true fan-favorite.
