Fake Avengers: Doomsday popcorn buckets showed up for sale on AliExpress this weekend, almost two months before the movie opens in theaters on December 18, 2026. The listings showed a hooded Doctor Doom head bucket, a Doom bust and a Doom throne cup, and then they disappeared. Do not fall for them if they come back. No U.S. theater has released or even announced an Avengers: Doomsday popcorn bucket, as we reported last week.
Fans in the r/popcornbuckets Reddit community were the first to point out the listings, so we looked into it. When we searched Google, all three came up on AliExpress. By our third search, the listings were gone. Listings like these can pop back up under a new seller, so keep an eye out, or do not keep an eye out cause they are fake.
What they are copying: Theaters in Brazil, Spain and Latin America have shown real Doctor Doom buckets and cups, like Cinemark Brasil’s hooded Doom head and throne cup and Cinépolis Brasil’s Doom bust. These AliExpress listings copy those looks. They do not come from any theater.
How to tell they are fake:
- They are shipping now. The real ones overseas do not come out until the movie opens in December.
- They are sold by marketplace sellers, not a theater chain.
- The throne pieces in the seller photos look 3D printed.
- The real throne cup has the Avengers and Fantastic Four logos carved above Doom. The AliExpress one has a round carving there instead.
When the real ones are coming: Expect a real U.S. announcement soon. Based on how Avengers: Endgame Encore went, we think theaters will show their buckets in mid to late November, before the movie opens.
Do not fall for this. These are fake. Save your money and wait for the real announcement. Find every real bucket in our Movie Theater Popcorn Buckets guide.
