The Resident Evil Medical Cooler Popcorn Bucket is back on sale. Swan Drive-In in Blue Ridge, Georgia, has opened pre-orders for the sold-out collectible from Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil, which opened in theaters on September 18. It costs $24.95, and a 48-hour coupon runs through October 6.
This is the same green organ transport cooler that Regal and AMC revealed as the Organ Transplant Popcorn Bag when tickets went on sale. It sold out at theaters and online. Demand ran so high that fans were emailing Zinc, the company that makes the bag, hoping to hear it would go on sale again. Swan Drive-In’s listing says the bag went viral and this is the final production run.
The cooler holds 200 ounces of popcorn and measures 9.5 by 6.25 by 6.75 inches. It is made of coated polyester, foam, and PEVA, and it is hand wash only. The front carries a white cross, Handle with Care and Keep Cool labels, an Organ Transplant heart logo, and a red splatter.
Swan Drive-In says it is one of the few theaters offering a pre-order, and ordering is live now on the Resident Evil Medical Cooler Popcorn Bucket page. This is a pre-order, so there is a wait. The theater expects a very limited supply in mid-December and says orders ship within 24 hours of the stock arriving. Orders are reserved at purchase and cannot be canceled. Anything else in the cart ships right away.
There is also a deal for the next day or so. Swan Drive-In is offering 50 percent off with any purchase of $100 or more for 48 hours. The coupon code is PROJECTPOPCORN in all caps. It is limited to one per order and valid October 4 through October 6. The cooler can also be bought on its own for $24.95.
If you missed this one at the theater, this is a way to get it without paying a reseller. The trade-off is the wait until December and an order you cannot cancel. Pre-orders are open now in Swan Drive-In’s Resident Evil shop, and the coupon ends October 6. Find more popcorn bucket news at Fantasy Land News
