Ravensburger has shared the full details on Hyperia City, the next Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game set. It prereleases on October 16, 2026 in game stores and select Disney Parks and stores, then goes everywhere on October 23. The set brings Disney and Pixar’s “Coco” into the game for the first time and adds a new mechanic called ink drops.
Hyperia City was the big reveal at the Disney Lorcana TCG panel at D23 2026, and the name is a nod to Walt Disney’s Hyperion Studio. Now we know what is actually inside the box, plus a first look at what Ravensburger has planned for 2027.
What’s Inside Hyperia City
This set moves the action to a city where metro meets fantasy. Glimmers catch street performances, visit shops and head out for a night on the town. Each card places its glimmer in a different part of the city, including the City Center, Wandering Straits and Old Towne Hyperia.
The Marigold District is where the “Coco” glimmers live, and they are putting on a couple of street performances. Early card previews on the official Hyperia City page include Miguel Rivera and Hector Rivera as Street Musicians, an “Un Poco Loco” card and several versions of Pepita. On the edge of town is the Multidisciplinary Academy for Genius, Imagination, and Creativity, or M.A.G.I.C. for short. That is where “Big Hero 6” glimmers like Honey Lemon are experimenting with the new ink drop technology. Disney Princesses, Mickey Mouse and other returning favorites round out the set.
Ink drops are the set’s one new mechanic. They work as a counter that gives players a one-time-use ink to spend on playing cards from their hand or to boost other cards.
“Ink drops can completely change the tempo of a game,” said Lukas Litzsinger, Lead Game Designer at Ravensburger on the Disney Lorcana TCG. “We really wanted to focus in on a single mechanic in this set, and we’re excited to see how players will experiment with using them in their decks.”
The Enchanted cards follow a night-out theme, from a big concert moment to staying up late on a passion project. The two Iconic cards, the rarest in the game, use the same style. They are Mickey Mouse, Best in Town, which was first shown at D23, and Cinderella, Unintentional Icon.
“There is something for everyone to enjoy in Hyperia City,” said Liz Richards, Art Director at Ravensburger. “From the engaging artwork depicting so many Dreamborn versions of Disney and Pixar characters, to the exciting possibilities of ink drops and how they are used, Hyperia City is a set that will delight Disney fans in multiple ways.”
Hyperia City Products and Where to Buy
The Prerelease Box includes an exclusive poster and promo card, and it is the product to grab if you plan to play at a prerelease event on October 16. The Illumineer’s Trove comes with eight booster packs, six damage dice and a spin-dial lore counter. Booster packs and booster display boxes will also be available. Preorders are open now at online retailers, and you can find a participating game store with the Ravensburger store locator.
If you are still catching up on the current story, Attack of the Vine! arrived in July and closed out the year-long arc that ran through Winterspell and Wilds Unknown. Hyperia City is the start of something new.
What’s Coming to Disney Lorcana in 2027
Ravensburger also shared more on Into the Inkdark, the first set of 2027. A Hades glimmer is up to something sinister deep beneath the realm of Lorcana, and his fiery plans may bring a new threat to the surface.
Into the Inkdark also launches a new product called collector boosters. Like regular booster packs, they hold 12 randomized cards of all rarities. The difference is that collector boosters are the only place to find Illustrious cards, the first serialized cards in Disney Lorcana history. Each one features custom art from a popular artist in their own style, with special embellishments and a large artist credit. Every set will have six Illustrious cards, and only 23 copies of each will be printed. Collector boosters will be sold at select Ravensburger Play Hub stores and Disney Parks and stores.
Then in Spring 2027, Cosmic Quest sends Illumineers into space. Expect glimmers of Ariel and Flounder, Stitch and his fellow experiments, and for the first time ever, WALL-E and EVE. Ravensburger also teased a set for late 2027 with some kind of magical mayhem attached.
Focusing Hyperia City on one new mechanic is a smart move. It gives longtime players something fresh to build around without burying newer players under a pile of new rules, and “Coco” is a natural fit for a set built on music and nightlife. The Illustrious cards are a different story. With only 23 copies of each, most players will never pull one, so go into collector boosters knowing that the chase cards are built for a lucky few. The good news is that every collector booster still holds 12 regular cards, so you are not walking away empty-handed.
