Harkins Theatres is hosting a Verity Movie Party at two Arizona locations ahead of the psychological thriller’s October 2 nationwide release, with tickets covering admission, themed photo ops, a bookmark, popcorn, and a cocktail for $25.
The events run Thursday, October 1, at Harkins Camelview at Fashion Square, and Friday, October 2, at Harkins Arrowhead Fountains, both ahead of the film’s wide opening. Each $25 ticket includes admission to the screening, movie-themed photo opportunities and activities, a movie-themed bookmark, one small popcorn, and a choice of a movie-themed cocktail, mocktail, or a 32-ounce fountain drink. Tickets are available now at the box office, through the Harkins mobile app, and at Harkins.com, with availability described as limited and advance purchase encouraged.
This adds to what we’ve already been tracking for the film’s theatrical rollout, including our full breakdown of the Verity popcorn bucket, bite mark tumbler, and merch lineup, where we noted Harkins as one of the chains likely to carry its own version of the collectibles.
Verity is based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel and follows struggling writer Lowen Ashleigh, who takes on the job of completing a bestselling book series after its original author, Verity Crawford, is injured. Reviewing Verity’s notes and unfinished manuscripts leads Lowen into revelations that blur the line between truth and deception. Anne Hathaway stars as Verity, Dakota Johnson as Lowen, and Josh Hartnett as Verity’s husband Jeremy, with Michael Showalter directing.
The cocktail option is the detail worth noticing here. Most theater movie-party packages default to a soda or a mocktail, so building an actual alcoholic option directly into the ticket signals Harkins is treating this one as an adult night out rather than a family-friendly event, which tracks with just how dark this story gets.
