Disney Store is returning to the mall in a big way, and the first location under the new Disney Store Limited Time banner opens tomorrow, Saturday, May 23, at Ross Park Mall in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a grand opening ceremony beginning at 10 AM ET.

Fantasy Land News will be on hand at the opening to cover everything firsthand, so stay tuned for our full coverage starting tomorrow morning.

Disney Store Limited Time Opens Tomorrow at Ross Park Mall in Pittsburgh

Disney Store Limited Time is a new format of physical retail destination created in collaboration with Go! Retail Group. The concept is built around bringing Disney storytelling to life through in-person shopping in a way that captures the signature energy Disney Store has always been known for, including immersive in-store designs, products available only through Disney Store, and the kind of opening ceremony magic that made the original Disney Store locations such a destination in their own right.

These are not permanent mall anchors. Disney Store Limited Time locations are designed to run through the holiday season, giving fans a window to experience the concept before it closes up shop. Think of it as a pop-up with full Disney Store production value!

What to Expect at the Ross Park Mall Grand Opening

The Pittsburgh location kicks things off with a grand opening ceremony at 10 AM ET on Saturday, May 23. Disney is promising surprise and delight moments throughout the day, along with exclusive merchandise made specifically for this opening.

That includes a Pittsburgh-inspired tee designed for local fans, which is the kind of location-specific exclusive that makes a store opening worth showing up for early. Beyond that, shoppers can expect products spanning Disney Parks, beloved story franchises, and characters across the full Disney catalog.

The in-store experience is designed to feel immersive rather than a standard retail floor, which is in keeping with how Disney has approached physical retail when it has leaned into the format at its best.

A Second Location Is Coming This Fall

Ross Park Mall is just the first stop. Disney has confirmed a second Disney Store Limited Time location will open at Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey this fall, also running through the holiday season. No specific date has been announced for that location yet.

Both stores are produced in partnership with Go! Retail Group, which specializes in retail concepts of exactly this kind, and both will carry the same core mission of meeting Disney fans where they are with the quality and creativity the Disney Store name has always represented.

The return of a physical Disney Store experience, even in a limited run format, is something a lot of fans have genuinely missed. The original Disney Store locations at their peak were a destination, not just a shop, and this concept is clearly trying to recapture that. The Pittsburgh-exclusive tee is a smart touch that gives locals a reason to show up on day one rather than wait. The question is always whether the merchandise selection and in-store execution live up to the Disney Store name or feel like a scaled-back version of it. FLN will be there tomorrow to give you a firsthand answer. If you are in the Pittsburgh area, Ross Park Mall opens at 10 AM ET, and the grand opening ceremony starts right at the doors.
