Regal and Fathom Entertainment have announced that The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act will play in 4DX at Regal locations nationwide beginning June 4, 2026, adding motion, vibration, water, wind, scent, and atmospheric effects to the series finale theatrical event.
The 4DX format is a natural fit for a show set inside a virtual reality circus. Attendees will physically feel what the six trapped characters experience on screen, which given the chaos-adjacent nature of the Digital Circus, means the 4DX team had plenty of material to work with. Advance tickets for 4DX showtimes are available now at Regal box offices, kiosks, the Regal app, and at REGmovies.com.
The theatrical event itself is already performing well before the 4DX announcement. Fathom Entertainment confirmed that traditional 2D presales for The Last Act have crossed $7.5 million, which puts this in a different tier than the typical independent animation Fathom event. As we noted in our original Amazing Digital Circus theatrical coverage, the show’s billion-view reach and Netflix top-five placement make this a cultural moment rather than a niche fan screening, and those numbers are backing that up.
The Last Act combines episode eight with the full hour-long episode nine, which will not be available on YouTube until June 19. Seeing it theatrically on June 4 is the only way to watch the finale ahead of its wider release. Fathom has also confirmed limited-edition collectible popcorn and drink containers available at participating Regal locations while supplies last, on top of the Amazing Digital Circus popcorn tub and souvenir cup already confirmed at other theaters.

Our Take: The 4DX addition is the right call for this one. The Digital Circus is a sensory property and putting it in a format that physically responds to what is happening on screen makes the theatrical experience genuinely distinct from watching it at home. If you were already planning to go, the 4DX showing is worth the upgrade.
