Disney announced an expanded collaboration with the Savannah Bananas at its 2026 Upfront today, making Disney+ in the U.S. the exclusive streaming home of The Banana Bowl this October. The Banana Bowl will stream live on Disney+ and feature all six Banana Ball league teams competing for the season championship, with one of the biggest live performances the league has ever staged built directly into the event from first pitch to final out.

The Banana Bowl on Disney+ — October 2026

The Banana Bowl brings together the top teams in the Banana Ball league for the season championship and is set up to be the biggest single event in the league’s history. All six teams will be part of the broadcast, and the on-field showmanship that has made Banana Ball a viral phenomenon will be on full display. Streaming live on Disney+ means cord-cutters will have full access without needing a cable subscription.

Savannah Bananas on Dancing with the Stars This Fall

Banana Ball standout player Jackson Olson will compete on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars, which simulcasts live this fall on ABC and Disney+ and streams the next day on Hulu. It is the kind of crossover that makes complete sense once you have seen Olson on a baseball field — the man already performs for a living.

ESPN, Disney+, and the Savannah Bananas have already launched a 25-game exclusive package. Every game streams live on the ESPN App and Disney+, with select matchups airing across ESPN networks and ABC. This is the backbone of the partnership and gives Banana Ball fans consistent access to games throughout the season.

Banana Ball is heading to Walt Disney World Resort on May 29 and 30 for a game at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, woven into a broader fan celebration at the resort. The matchup features the Party Animals against the Loco Beach Coconuts. If you are visiting Walt Disney World around Memorial Day weekend, this is worth building into your trip.

Other Upcoming Events in the Disney and Bananas Partnership

The Savannah Bananas took over Anaheim on March 26 for Savannah Bananas Day at Disneyland Resort, coinciding with a game at Angel Stadium featuring a matchup against the Indianapolis Clowns. Banana Ball also makes a summer stop near ESPN headquarters on July 23 at Dunkin’ Park in Hartford, Connecticut, with the Party Animals facing the Clowns in a marquee event tied to ESPN’s live experience strategy.

Our Take: The Savannah Bananas are one of the most genuinely fun sports properties in the country right now and the Disney partnership makes total sense. Banana Ball is built for exactly the audience that already watches Disney+ and goes to Disney Parks — families, casual fans, people who want entertainment alongside the sport. The Walt Disney World game at ESPN Wide World of Sports at the end of May is the one we are most excited about personally. More on that as it gets closer.
