Disney Lorcana’s Attack of the Vine! is officially confirmed to prerelease July 17, 2026 at game stores and select Disney Parks and stores, with full nationwide release following on July 24. Ravensburger has revealed the set caps off a year-long storyline and introduces Glimmers from Pixar’s Up, Monsters, Inc., and Turning Red, alongside two new Iconic cards and a Team shift mechanic that will reset how Core Constructed decks are built. Here is everything confirmed in today’s reveal.

The Vine Has Soaked Up All the Magical Ink
The story arc closes out a thread that began with the magical ink flood from earlier sets. According to Nicole Smith, Senior Narrative Designer at Ravensburger, the Vine has grown completely out of control after absorbing that spilled ink, turning it into one of the most powerful adversaries Illumineers have faced. Defeating it will require teamwork across Glimmers rather than any single hero carrying a deck alone, which sets up the thematic backbone for the set’s two new Iconic cards.
The Iconics: Lilo & Stitch and Belle & Beast
Attack of the Vine! Introduces Enchanted rarity cards with artwork inspired by classic summer blockbuster posters, and the set’s two Iconic cards take that treatment to its fullest extent with added foil work and movie-poster composition. The confirmed Iconics are Lilo & Stitch, Fun-Loving Friends, and Belle & Beast, Certain as the Sun. Pairing two characters per Iconic card directly mirrors the set’s teamwork theme, and collectors should expect these to be the chase pulls of the set given the rarity and foil treatment involved.
A New Team Shift Mechanic Changes How You Build

The set’s biggest mechanical addition is Team, a new way to Shift introduced specifically to reflect Glimmers banding together against the Vine. Steve Warner, co-creator of the game and Game Design Director at Ravensburger, explained that Team allows any character sharing a name with one of the characters in the team to act as the shift base. That opens considerably more shift options in both Infinity Constructed and Core Constructed, since deckbuilders are no longer limited to shifting strictly off identical named cards in a one-to-one sense.
Core Constructed Rotation Starts July 17

The prerelease date doubles as a rotation date for competitive play. Starting July 17, 2026, only cards from Fabled, Whispers in the Well, Winterspell, Wilds Unknown, and Attack of the Vine! will be legal in Core Constructed, the format used in Disney Lorcana Challenge events. Players sitting on older sets will need to rebuild around the five currently legal sets ahead of the next Challenge cycle. Infinity Constructed is unaffected by the rotation, with nearly the entire card pool, including everything played at the recent Challenge events in Dortmund and Indianapolis, remaining legal with one confirmed exception.
Key Dates and Where to Find It
Prerelease events run July 17, 2026 at participating game stores and select Disney Parks and stores. Mass release follows everywhere on July 24. Preorders are open now at online retailers. What’s Coming After Attack of the Vine!
Ravensburger also confirmed the next two sets on the roadmap. Hyperia City prereleases October 16, 2026 at Ravensburger Play Hub stores, with mass release following October 23. The set is built around a bustling musical metropolis and marks the franchise debut of Glimmers from Pixar’s Coco. Prerelease Boxes are confirmed to return for Hyperia City after sitting out recent sets. Looking further out, Into the Inkdark arrives in Q1 2027 with a villain-focused roster, and an as-yet-unnamed Q2 2027 set will send players into a galactic, story-stars setting. Lorcana fans can expect more reveals at Gen Con 2026 from July 30 through August 2, and at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event starting August 14.
Our Take
This is the most mechanically significant Lorcana reveal in a while, not because of the Pixar names attached but because Team fundamentally loosens how Shift decks get built, and that ripples into both competitive formats at once. The rotation timing lining up exactly with prerelease is a smart move by Ravensburger since it forces the metagame to reset right when new cards hit, rather than leaving a dead window. If you collect Iconics, Lilo & Stitch and Belle & Beast are going to be hard pulls given the foil and movie-poster treatment, so budget accordingly if chasing them at prerelease.
The Pixar Glimmers Coming to Attack of the Vine!
The set’s central threat is a sprawling invasive vine that sprouts vineling monsters and leafy duplicates of existing glimmers across the Lorcana realm. To push back against it, players will have access to glimmers from three Pixar properties that have not yet had a full presence in the game. Monsters Inc. leads the confirmed reveals with Sulley as The New Boss, Boo as Energetic Child, and Mike Wazowski as Well-Rounded Entertainer. Up and Turning Red glimmers are also confirmed for the set, with specific characters not yet revealed.
