‘I’ll Be Seeing You’ is the story of when a work errand derails Amy’s weekend plans with her grandma, they embark on a road trip with one sentimental detour, but need the help of a charming activities director, Mark.
Stacey Farber stars as Amy and Christine Ebersole as her grandma, Vivien. Viv’s friend, Sue, is played by BJ Harrison. That charming activities director, Mark, is played by Tyler Hynes.

To recap the movie, Amy is Type A and singularly focused on work and a promotion. Mark goes with the flow and is spontaneous, to the extent that he can’t lock down taking the Activities director job from interim to permanent. Amy needs to get down the west coast to California to deliver a contract and takes her grandma and Sue on the road trip with her.
Viv has ulterior motives for joining the trip. She wants to stop in a little town called Keystone. Viv wants to bring Sue on the trip because it’s Sue’s first wedding anniversary without her husband, George. As soon as the trip starts, they hit a pothole and are stranded. Viv calls Mark in to the rescue. Mark and his beloved van, Mable, join the road trip. Mark is like a tumbleweed; he goes with the flow. The trip takes the gang to Keystone, and Viv tells the story of her first love. It was unexpected young love, and she wants to find Teddy.
The trip to find Teddy takes them on many unexpected detours. Splits the gang up. Mark and Amy continue to Eureka to deliver the contract. The whole trip is full of unexpected detours. Mark and Amy start to fall in love, but Mark leaves her to get to Sue, who has a medical issue. Amy delivers the contract but decides that she needs to be back with the gang and not let life pass her by any longer. We finally get to the moment with Teddy. Mark and Amy kiss, and the movie ends.

Fantasy Land News Review ‘I’ll Be Seeing You’ on Hallmark Channel:
No notes. This movie hit me on so many levels. I cried multiple times. I have seen a lot of Hallmark Channel movies. Rarely do any of them resonate with me on a personal level. This is a love story of different sorts. Yes, Mark and Amy fell in love. But you see Mark’s love for Viv and Sue. Amy’s love for her grandma. Viv and Sue love each other. Viv’s love for Teddy. Viv and Sue’s love for their late husbands.
Tyler, oh Tyler. He is, for good reason, one of the most popular Hallmark Channel actors of all time, with his legion of #hynies. In his collection of movies, there aren’t many that I wouldn’t watch any time. In fact, his ‘Roadhouse Romance’ is one of my all-time favorite Hallmark movies. This movie and performance top it. He’s perfection in ‘I’ll Be Seeing You.’ His love for these women shows.
Stacey Farber is an underused talent. We need more of her on the Hallmark Channel. The chemistry with Tyler is there. We’d be remiss not to talk about Christine Ebersole first. Broadway legend and Tony Award winner. Yes, she was in a previous Tyler Hynes Hallmark Channel movie, but this was the role she was made for. She SHINES. She sang. Singing I’ll Be Seeing You was the first cry of the movie. BJ Harrison just exudes coolness and wisdom. She made me cry when she described her George. The happiest moment for me was the surprise addition of my favorite supporting Hallmark actor, Fred Henderson.

This movie is about going with the flow. Don’t let the grass grow under your feet. My life usually goes with the flow, which can be scary, but the journey is wonderful most of the time. The personal aspect for me. My husband, Greg, and I fell in love on road trips. Our early relationship was spent in a truck or car traveling the East Coast for concerts, where he was working as a sound engineer. Road trips literally started our love story. Another personal aspect, the song, ‘I’ll Be Seeing You.’ One of the first things Greg and I bonded over was our love for Glen Miller, and he has a beautiful version of the song that Christine Ebersole sang in the movie.
When asked how did you know you were in love, Viv replied, “When we were together, I was the person I always wanted to be. We shared things that we never shared with anyone.” Sue continued, “That’s what it felt like when I was with George. I never had to pretend or hide who I was. He understood me. And that’s rare to find.” That’s what it was like for Greg and me. We didn’t have to pretend. We just were.
When Viv thinks she’s about to meet Teddy, she says, “I just always thought that life gives you a certain amount of special moments like this, and I already had mine! I just can’t imagine there could be more.” Mark smiles and says, “Everybody’s story’s got room for another chapter.” Beautiful message that life continues. Just because one chapter ends, doesn’t mean the story does.
This movie is beautifully written by Joey Elkins and Blake Silver. Again, no notes. They evoked emotion. Joy, just pure joy for me. Jessica Harmon’s direction continued the joy. The scenery along the road reminded me of my days of road tripping with Greg. I feel a road trip should happen for us soon.
The message of ‘I’ll Be Seeing You’ is simple. Life is full of unexpected detours. Take the ride. Don’t stand still and let life pass you by. This is a perfect 5 out of 5 popcorn buckets. Just perfection.
