Disney Springs is one of the most underrated morning destinations at Walt Disney World Resort, and most guests are sleeping through the best part of the day. Before the crowds arrive, the temperatures are cooler, the coffee is fresh, and the Marketplace is yours. Here is how Holly and I do it, and what Disney Parks Blog wants every guest to know about making the most of an early morning visit.
Why Morning Is the Best Time to Visit Disney Springs
I visit Disney Springs regularly, and mornings are genuinely my favorite time to be there. Florida summers are no joke, and getting out early means cooler temperatures and thinner crowds before the afternoon rush sets in. The energy is different when the district is just waking up. You can actually move through the spaces, take your time, and enjoy it rather than navigate around everyone else.
The Disney Parks Blog guide confirms what we have experienced firsthand. Disney Springs opens daily at 9:00 a.m., and while not every restaurant fires up the kitchen at that hour, there is plenty to do from the moment the district unlocks.

Start at the Orange Garage: The Fastest Route to Your Morning Coffee
Our routine almost always starts the same way. We park in the Orange Garage, which puts you in an ideal position to get to Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea Company or Starbucks without a long walk through the full district. If caffeine is the first priority of the morning, the Orange Garage is the right call.
Joffrey’s is the local coffee partner of Walt Disney World, and the Disney Parks Blog team highlights it as a go-to morning stop. Baristas can customize drinks with character art on the foam, and the menu covers cold brew, cappuccinos, espressos, chai, and premium iced teas. After you get your coffee, the Art Walk through Town Center gives you a nice reason to stroll and let the morning settle in before the rest of the visit.
Everglazed If You Skipped Breakfast at Home
On mornings when we did not eat before leaving the house, Everglazed Donuts and Cold Brew fit naturally into the walk from the Orange Garage toward AMC. The shop opens at 9:00 a.m. and serves inventive donut flavors that run from classic glazed to candy-topped builds. It is not a full sit-down meal, but it fills the gap and fuels the rest of the morning without slowing you down.
Earl of Sandwich is another early option if you want something more substantial. It also opens at 9:00 a.m. and offers hot artisan breakfast sandwiches with combinations of egg, cheddar, bacon, sausage, and ham. Fast, reliable, and easy to grab on the move.

Check AMC for the Latest Popcorn Buckets
One stop that is part of every FLN visit to Disney Springs is AMC DINE-IN Disney Springs 24. We always walk through to see what collectible popcorn buckets are currently on sale. AMC consistently releases movie-specific buckets and themed collectibles tied to major releases, and the Disney Springs location is one of the best places to check in person without committing to a full park day. We cover AMC collectibles and popcorn buckets regularly here at Fantasy Land News, so this stop doubles as research and fun. The Disney Parks Blog guide notes that matinee tickets before 4:00 p.m. are discounted, and showtimes start as early as 9:30 a.m. if you want to turn the morning into a full movie outing.
The Marketplace: World of Disney and Marketplace Co-op
After the AMC check, our path swings toward The Marketplace. This is the section of Disney Springs that rewards slow exploration, and mornings are the best time to do it. We always stop at World of Disney first. The store opens at 10:00 a.m. with a daily key ceremony and red carpet moment that is genuinely fun to witness, especially if you have kids. The store is the largest selection of Disney merchandise in the world, which means there is always something new to look at even if you have been before.
From there we head to Marketplace Co-op, which is a collection of smaller, curated boutiques under one roof. The mix of offerings changes more frequently than a standalone store, so it is worth checking even on repeat visits. The Marketplace area in general tends to have a more relaxed pace in the morning compared to the Town Center side, which makes it a good way to wind down the shopping portion before heading to eat.

The Best Breakfast at Disney Springs: Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’
We will just say it plainly: Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin‘ is our favorite breakfast spot at Disney Springs. The Southern-style brunch runs on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and covers fluffy French toast, biscuits with fried chicken, and chicken and waffles. The full menu also becomes available starting at 11:00 a.m. every day. The food is comforting and genuinely good, and the atmosphere is the kind of relaxed that fits perfectly with a morning visit when the rest of the district is still quiet.
Raglan Road is also in this part of Disney Springs and is worth noting if you are passing through later in the morning. For a weekend brunch with more of a coastal lean, Summer House on the Lake opens Saturdays and Sundays at 9:00 a.m. and serves options like jalapeño cornbread, whipped burrata, and a giant cinnamon roll that gets a lot of attention. Wine Bar George and House of Blues also run weekend brunch service later in the morning for guests who want to stretch the visit out.

Other Experiences Worth Knowing About
The Aerophile balloon launches from Disney Springs and offers views 400 feet up over the district, with EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom visible on a clear morning. The Disney Parks Blog guide points to the early hours as the ideal window for this experience because the temperatures are cooler and the lines are shorter. Note that the balloon does not operate in inclement weather, which is always a possibility in Central Florida.
Splitsville Luxury Lanes opens at 11:00 a.m. and offers a quieter bowling experience in the morning before the afternoon traffic picks up. The Disney PhotoPass Studio, also opening at 11:00 a.m., is a no-reservation-required stop for families who want to capture the morning in a more polished way. The LEGO Minifigure Factory and Little Words Project bracelet bar are worth flagging if you have kids who need something hands-on to do while you finish the morning circuit.
Cool Kids’ Summer begins May 26, 2026, at Disney Springs and will bring dance parties and activations to the district through the summer season. On select nights at the Marketplace, Disney Springs will host a dance party featuring music from Descendants: Wicked Wonderland and Camp Rock 3, timed to the release of both movies on Disney+. Specific dates have not been announced yet. For the full picture of everything happening across Walt Disney World this summer, our Cool Kids’ Summer 2026 complete guide covers every park, resort perk, ticket deal, and confirmed opening date.

Tips for the Morning Visit
Parking in the Orange Garage is the move if coffee and the AMC and Marketplace circuit is your plan. World of Disney opens at 10:00 a.m., so timing your arrival to catch the key ceremony is easy if you do coffee first. Weekend brunch reservations at Chef Art Smith’s, Summer House on the Lake, Wine Bar George, and House of Blues are strongly encouraged. Most food locations at Disney Springs run on the later side of the morning, with many not opening until 10:00 or 11:00 a.m., so Joffrey’s, Starbucks, Everglazed, and Earl of Sandwich are your best bets in that first hour.
