Luke Combs Is Bringing His Category 10 Bar to Universal Orlando CityWalk

Written by Greg Gately

Universal Orlando Resort announced on April 10, 2026, that three new experiences are coming to Universal CityWalk: the Universal Legacy Store returning in late April, Five Guys opening later this summer, and Luke Combs’ Category 10 moving to a new waterfront location at CityWalk in 2027. Two existing locations are closing to make way for the changes, with the Universal Epic Universe Preview Center closing April 13 and the Burger King Whopper Bar closing April 21.

Universal Legacy Store Returns in Late April

The Universal Legacy Store is returning to CityWalk in late April and will occupy the space currently held by the Universal Epic Universe Preview Center, which closes April 13. The Legacy Store carries exclusive retro merchandise and photo opportunities tied to iconic Universal Studios Florida attractions and films, including E.T., Jaws, Back to the Future, and Universal Monsters. If you visited before it went away, the concept is the same: a dedicated space for guests who want something older and more specific than what the main Universal store carries. We covered the expansion of the main Universal Store at CityWalk last year, which added dedicated Harry Potter and Super Nintendo areas. The Legacy Store returning alongside that expanded footprint gives CityWalk a broader merchandise range than it has had in years.

Five Guys Coming This Summer

Five Guys is taking over the existing Burger King Whopper Bar location, which closes April 21. The chain’s made-to-order burgers and fries will be available at CityWalk later this summer. No specific opening date has been announced. Five Guys is a straightforward upgrade for that space. The Whopper Bar concept never felt like a natural fit for CityWalk’s overall dining energy, and a Five Guys fills a fast-casual burger need that the complex has been missing.

Luke Combs’ Category 10 Gets a Waterfront Home in 2027

We first covered Luke Combs bringing Category 10 to Universal CityWalk back in February. Today’s announcement adds the detail that the venue is moving to a brand-new waterfront location, with live music, food, spirits, and more. The opening timeline is 2027. A waterfront placement is a meaningful upgrade over a standard CityWalk interior footprint. For a live music venue built around a country music identity, the outdoor setting is going to matter.

Universal says additional details about all three projects will be revealed in the months ahead. For the latest Universal Orlando Resort news and CityWalk coverage, visit fantasylandnews.com. For more Universal Orlando coverage, visit fantasylandnews.com/category/universal/.
