Bluey’s Wild World — Opens May 26, 2026

Bluey’s Wild World opens at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on May 26, 2026, inside Conservation Station at the end of the Wildlife Express Train from Harambe Station. The experience is more than a standard character meet-and-greet. Guests can play and dance with Bluey and Bingo, participate in games from the show with an animal twist, and step outside Conservation Station to discover Australian animals native to Bluey’s home country at Affection Section.

The hosting team — called the P.A.C.K. (Playful Animal Crew for Kids) — leads guests through the experience with games, dancing, and character interactions throughout. The Wildlife Express Train and Conservation Station temporarily closed on February 23, 2026, to prepare for the Bluey experience. May 26 is also the first day of Cool Kids’ Summer across Walt Disney World, making Animal Kingdom’s Bluey opening part of the resort’s biggest single launch day of the summer season.

Tropical Americas — Replacing DinoLand U.S.A.

Tropical Americas is the new themed land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, replacing DinoLand U.S.A. in what is the most significant expansion in the park’s history. The land is anchored by a new Indiana Jones attraction described as a quest to explore a newly discovered Maya temple, alongside an Encanto-themed attraction set in the Casa Madrigal, and a Disney Animal Carousel. Full completion of Tropical Americas is expected by 2027.

The transformation has been underway since 2025. Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, Fossil Fun Games, and Trilo-Bites all closed permanently in late 2024 and early 2025. DINOSAUR closed permanently on February 2, 2026, as the final major attraction in the former DinoLand U.S.A. footprint. Harambe Market in Africa also temporarily closed in October 2025 for refurbishment and is expected to reopen in early 2026 with an updated menu.

Animal Kingdom Cool Kids’ Summer 2026

Cool Kids’ Summer runs at Animal Kingdom from May 26 through September 8, 2026. Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station is the park’s headline new experience for the season. Also returning this summer are DeVine, Kevin from Up, and Meeko in the Oasis as roaming character experiences. Disney After Hours returns to Animal Kingdom as a separately ticketed after-hours event with low waits and included snacks.

Disney Conservation Fund and Earth Month

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to the Disney Conservation Fund, which supports wildlife projects across the globe. In April 2026, the Disney Conservation Fund backed 25 wildlife projects across 16 countries as part of Earth Month 2026, reinforcing the park’s mission as more than a theme park experience. Fantasy Land News covers Disney conservation announcements as they are confirmed.

Behind the Scenes at Animal Kingdom

In February 2026, more than 1,200 Walt Disney World cast members gathered after hours at Animal Kingdom for the 2026 edition of Goofy’s Mystery Tour — this year themed as Goofy’s Mystiki Tour, drawing inspiration from Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. The private after-hours competition is an annual cast member tradition involving Disney trivia, mental puzzles, and scavenger hunts through the park.

In February 2026, Disney also released official aerial footage of Animal Kingdom, giving fans a bird’s-eye view of the Tree of Life, Kilimanjaro Safari, and the park as it stands today without construction zones in frame.
